Not only should you treat people the way they should be treated, you must make sure that you treat you subordinates with the utmost respect. Leaders must show respect by seeking to understand other people’s background, see things from their perspectives and appreciate what is important to them. Everyone should be treated with respect and dignity, no matter what their race, gender, creed, religion and or beliefs are. A leader’s willingness to tolerate discrimination or harassment on any basis, or failure to cultivate a climate of respect will lower trust and erode the team’s unit cohesion. Next will be integrity. • Integrity: Do what’s right legally and morally. Leaders with integrity consistently act according to principles. (Not for just what’s in the moment). Great leaders with integrity make their principles known and consistently act in accordance with them. Leaders who have integrity mean they both are morally complete and true to yourself. Leadership attributes are values from leader’s character; many aspire and must possess many of these key characteristics. Next are the mental attributes: are characteristics called and quite rightly moral, self-discipline, initiative, judgment, self confident, intelligence and cultural awareness. You have physical attributes, many people think of fitness as an attributes of good leaders. This is all about health, when your employees are healthy you are going to have a top notch company. This can only happen when leaders make sure the environment they are working in is health friendly, first by having a nutritional breakfast, nothing big fruit, bagels, water, juice, decaf tea and coffee. On a daily basis, have a support system for people who might not be able deal with stress so they tend to not take care of themselves. Incorporate some exercise time for your employees. This can include group walks with each other; Zumba classes a lunchtime, Wii sports fun are just a few things to keep yourself and your employees healthy.
