Ever since the dawn of modern medical care, nurses have played an important role. In fact, the ever-increasing demand for nurses indicates that their role is more important now than ever. And as nurses have increased in importance, their role has changed considerably. From minor considerations like their appearance, to major changes like evolving technology, nursing has made some prominent strides in the past 50 years. The relationship nurse's have with doctor's has changed and how they relate to each other in the patient care setting. Whether it's assisting a doctor during surgery or helping a patient out of bed, nurses are accustomed to giving of themselves for the good of others. In, fact sometimes a nurse's response to the needs of those around them seems so natural that people don't realize just how much they do. I found this assessment to be right on target for me and the ways in which I live my life and approach my nursing practice. I am a very consistent person and always make judgement's that are fair to everyone and therefor people have confidence in me and find me trustworthy. I also approach everything with direction and drive, knowing what I want to accomplish and hold my values very high.
