To begin, the high school principles and the school district can put restrictions on who’s allowed to leave the campus for lunch. The student’s parents make the ultimate decision of whether they will allow their child to go off-campus for lunch. In order for students to go off-campus, they will need to have a written consent slip filled out by their parents and handed in to the office, as well as a pass when leaving campus. The students who are continuously tardy or absent should not be allowed to have this privilege. If the students are allowed to have off-campus lunch, so should the staff members. Although they’re staff they shouldn’t be treated any different, they should at least have a pass for leaving campus. Most importantly the students of Oak Creek High School should be at least 16 years of age, and must have good grades with a GPA of at least 2.8 or higher. Plus the school resource officers (SRO) may stop and question the students, at any time.

On Munchy’s newspaper ad he asks, “Are you tired of eating lunch surrounded by noisy high school students?” (source one: newspaper ad, lines 1-2). These students are so noisy that as a last resort, Munchy’s felt that they needed to have a “quiet lunch” time- when teenagers are banned. Also, the nosiness of these students are driving away customers.
In reference to the argument above we intend to further justify why Hooters should not place a ban on admitting children after 9 P.M. Our three key arguments will help solidify the reasoning for this and it is important because it comes down to a decision that families should be making even though with this issue it deals with decisions that businesses could be making. Our first argument is that it is not up to the restaurant, but the family that goes to the restaurant as to whether or not they should bring their kids. Our second argument is that the restaurant has a mission to profit and not limit who gets served no matter the time. Lastly, our third argument is that we disagree with the ban because Hooters advertises themselves as a neighborhood restaurant to go watch sports and to have a good time, so all should be welcome. Through these perspectives we have not limited Hooters to have any reason to put any bans on who is allowed in and out of the restaurant.

Fast-food franchises are an important part of many high schools income. This money, provided by the students, goes towards extra academics, sports, even art and music programs. I think a business should be allowed to ban a group of teenagers, but only the specific teenagers that are loud and immature.
