I think a business should be allowed to ban a group of teenagers, but only the specific teenagers that are loud and immature. They are causing less people to go to the restaurant because the people like to eat in peace. The restarants money has dropped $20,000 in the past three months because of the teenages being load and annoying other people. I don't think no kids allowed is right to do because it's not all kids that are loud and annoying. That's like saying just because an infant is crying that they shouldn't be allowed at all. I think it should only be the people that are loud that should get kicked out of the restaurant The teens don’t behave as maturely as adults do. This is why most of the adults that go out for lunch want a quiet
This company focuses on quality and customer satisfaction. Their need to achieve goals beyond their measures is consistently shown in every aspect of the complex. They are also trying different ways to satisfy each age group. First of all, if you’re under 21 you must be accompanied by a parent or guardian that’s 25 or older. After 10:00 p.m. no one under 21 is allowed in. This is an advantage as well as a disadvantage for this company. The advantage is that they can draw in a certain type of crowd after 10:00 p.m., then the facility pr...
Wandering kids. Bumper to bumper traffic. Drug dealing. Is this the picture drawn when local students have fifty minutes of freedom during lunch to do whatever they please? Students should not be allowed to leave their school campus during lunch. An open campus would lead to truancy, disturb local businesses and neighborhoods, and cause crime.
A person who is hosting a party with both adults and minors should be held to the same standards as a restaurant or a store that sells alcohol. When a person hosts a party, they know the people who are attending. They would know who was of age and who was underage. Furthermore, if the host wasn’t sure if a person was of age it wouldn’t take but a minute to look at a person’s identification to determine if they are of age or not. Exactly what a restaurant or store would do. There is no excuse to allow a minor to have access to alcohol or serve a minor
Liquor stores, bars, and clubs all want to make money, and if they can get away with selling to underage teens, then they will. A study done by the Academic Search Premier agrees that,?By now it is obvious that the law has not succeeded in preventing the under-21 group from drinking? Michael Smith - 1st place. There are a lot of benefits to having the drinking age change to eighteen. The amount of binge drinking would lessen, and the amount of outrage to drink would also decrease.
Nowadays, the practice of alcohol without permission in teenager is increasing especially among the age of 18-21 years old. Allowing teenagers drink when they are eighteen years old instead of twenty- one is the issue that was considered by the parents, adult, and the government. Most of them are worried that not letting teens drink may lead to the worse situations such as using drugs and other dopes. Some others said that letting teens drinking will reduce the amount of illegal drinking. For example, in my neighborhood, the young people often gather a crowd together to talk and drink when they have a free time or celebrating when they have a good news. In addition, one of them couldn’t control themselves and led
...d help the stores, and the local stores might just have a better chance of getting more money, but others think it would be a great idea. Underage drinking may cost problems, and way of having problems with family, friends, and school, but they are wrong. Drinking at a young age, may just make everything worst. There are many drinking the more emotions, and nothing good ever came out of it. It just may make you someone you never wanted to be. young adults underage drinking has caused most accidents. Young adults have been dying more and more since they’re taken advantage of it. the’re been getting in car crashes, and parents are being more protected, but young adult just don’t listen, and they never learn. some people want the age to be higher, not just 21. some say leave it the way it is. Adults of the age of 21 are mature and they understand what they are doing.
Based on the study from Chicago-based Research International USA found that more than half of the population eats fast food once a week and with a 20 percent eating fast food at least every other day. Most being males below middle age. Also more than half of the guests were with family members, 29 percent of these guests are with children under the age of 18. Fast foods chains are targeting kids and young adults by utilizing cartoon characters and celebrities to influence them into their products. They also build playgrounds in their restaurant to help draw kids into business and also provide toys with cartoon characters they can relate. Some chains have website which are geared for kids and allow them to play games and interact with their products. These tactics are to entice kids into their restaurants which are a contributing factor with higher rate of guests that are under 18.
...orced to drink in unsupervised areas instead of with an adult present. As long as the drinking age is 21, teenagers will continue to do these things in order to drink, and they will not learn the responsibilities that go along with drinking and ‘binge’ drinking will continue to be the result of it.
In conclusion and as can be seen, there are both the pro’s and con’s to the argument for this topic issue. The pro arguments is that the benefit of drinking alcohol for certain people or in this case teenagers, for them drinking alcohol could make them feels better, relieving themselves from stress and also as a temporary getaway from reality. In contrast from that opinion, drinking alcoholic drinking has too many bad effect rather than benefits toward a person social life even to serious health diseases. Therefore I am in agreement with IPU to totally ban alcohol on campus.
...cts support my argument that it should be lowered to eighteen. Allow these young adults to do as they choose. If they want to consume alcohol or purchase it, the law should allow them to. They are old enough to make their own decisions, which is supposed to be one of the perks that comes with being an adult. The more the law pushes to stop underage drinking, the more it will happen. Most underage college students are exposed to alcohol and will consume it for multiple reasons. At age twenty-one the same factors of binge drinking, being irresponsible, and so on, can happen. Eighteen years old or twenty-one years old, if you do not have a high tolerance for alcohol, you will act in the wrong manner and will suffer the same consequences. Allow eighteen year olds to be adults like the legally are. Allow them to decide whether or not they want to buy or consume alcohol.
We’re growing kids and we shouldn’t be forced to go four or more hours without a bite to eat or a drink, except for the occasional sip out of the water fountain. I realize that a lot of teachers will think that writing from a student’s point of view, it’s beyond biased to say that student’s SHOULD be allowed to eat and drink in class, but I honestly believe that this sort of thing should be allowed. I know how hungry I get and how hungry other students must get, also. Another thing that upsets me on this topic is that when I was in high school, I would go into my classroom and not be allowed to eat or drink at thing, yet my teachers would sit at their desks and eat or drink anything they pleased. If we can’t eat or drink when we want, the teachers should have to follow the same rules and set a good
There could also be children, or teens, whose parents simply don’t allow them to eat at a fast-food restaurant quite often. Unfortunately, according to the table below, McDonald’s seems to be the fast-food chain restaurant that is targeting the youth the most (see table 1). Nowadays, many parents tend to take their kids to a fast-food restaurant simply because it’s easier and faster to order food than it is to cook an entire meal (Murray). Not only is eating out, or at least taking out, efficient, but it’s also less stressful on the parents. Children tend to be very picky eaters, well most of them at least.
Have you ever been in your favorite restaurant and just as you are about to take a bite of your favorite dish, your lungs are filled with a cloud of smoke which has drifted to your table from the smoking section just a few feet away? This is a common complaint of many patrons who enjoy dining at restaurants. While it is true that the smoke from cigarettes causes many health problems, is it fair to take away the freedom of Americans who wish to smoke? Even as compromises can be made on this subject, the majority of people stand by their strong opinions on whether smoking should be allowed in restaurants.
According to McClain, Kansas City police and officials implemented a curfew for minors. This curfew restricts teenagers the rights that they’re are able to take part in. The curfew refuses teens the right to dine, watch movies, talk with friend, or walk around the plaza after 9 p.m. The curfew was implemented due to a shooting that occurred involving a number of teenagers. This article informs the reader that not only are teens having the freedoms that other people are able to enjoy taken away, but they are also being discriminated against because of their age. These restrictions are not only discriminative, but they’re unconstitutional. The 14th amendment to the constitution has a clause, called the Equal Protection Clause. The Equal Protection Clause states, “The constitutional guarantee that no person or class of persons shall be denied the same protection of the laws that is enjoyed by other persons or other classes in like circumstances in their lives, liberty, property, and pursuit of happiness” (thefreedictionary.com). The Equal Protection Clause also prevents a class of people from feeling inferior. This clause could easily be extended to teens as well because they are viewed as intellectually inferior by majority class. Adolescents are thought to be incapable of making an appropriate solution to a situation. This misconception has been formed due to parents and elderly people forcing children to follow strict rules and do as the parent or elderly person says; this prevents the child from creating their own solution to problems and causes the child to lack problem solving skill. The lack of problems solving skill could affect them more substantially in life, due to them no longer being minors and having their punishment more severe. Teens are widely regarded as trouble-makers, but they only cause trouble in their pursuit to experience life. Not only do curfews force children to
Also, the owners of restaurants and bars believe that it violated their property rights. Smokers believe that they have the right to smoke wherever and whenever they want. When Blasko interviewed Zultanski, he or she said, “America is all about freedom of choice, but the government is trying to take away the smokers’ rights.” In one way, it does go against their personal freedom, but this will protect the rights of others. Smokers have the freedom to smoke in their own houses whenever they want, but they cannot take away the rights of others to be healthy. Restaurant and bar owners believe it is their own property, so they should be able decide if smoking should be banned in their own property or not. Yes, it is their own property, but it is also a place to provide services for everyone. Restaurants and bars need to be sanitary; therefore, it should not be a place with bad odor lingering around it. In addition, smoking in restaurants and bars can cause fire in the place, because the furniture can easily catch on fire. Ban smoking in all indoor and outdoor public places does not go against personal freedom and property rights; it even ensures the citizens to have a health and safe society to live
