In the biography Unbroken by Laura Hillenbrand there was a character named Louis Zamperini. As a child, Louis was known as a troublemaker; however, with all the influence of his family, he ultimately became a success in life. This influence began with his brother Pete. Throughout Louis’ life, he made many bad choices, but after all of the help with his family, he made a huge turn around and now he is a success in his life. He has made such an impact on people’s lives, he taught people about the good from the bad.
Throughout Louis whole life he had made bad choices in his life. For example some choices he has made was when he was two years old he snuck out of the house. He snuck out of the house by jumping out of a two story house. Also, when Zamperini was only eight years old, he started drinking alcohol. He first started off with stealing wine off the dinner table during dinner time and sneaking it under the table. He would sneak under the kitchen table and drink it all until he was so drunk that he fell into a rose bush. One time when he was on a train with his mother he had jumped off the back of the train while it was moving and his mother didn’t jump off to save him, she just kept telling him to jump back in. Once Louis was in Torrance High School, Louis had a bad reputation in school because of how bad he is a child. The principle at the school had told Louis that he was unable to join any school activates. His older brother Pete Zamperini told the principle to let him join school teams, the principle asked Pete if he would be able to live with watching his little brother fail. “He’s my brother” (pg 14). Pete had made it eligible for Louis to become athletic. Louis had joined the track team thanks to Pete. Ever since Louis had made the track team he was running day and night.
