Recommended: Interpersonal communication across cultures

Recently we have observed that almost all of the countries around the world become a multicultural society. With the mixing of people from all cultures, background, religion, believe... So it is important for those people to know how to deal and communicate with each other, they have to have the intercultural awareness skill in order to avoid the misunderstanding and uncountable disasters. Every culture has its own identified value, so in order to live in peace and harmony in another society, it's necessary to get involve or at least have a brief background about them. So living in a multicultural society considered as one of the best ways to come over prejudice toward other cultures.so you tend to ignore the differences and focus more on how to get along with them.
As long as the whole world is becoming closer together, tolerance is more needed in the intercultural dialogue, beside it is important for showing the respect to all diversity. Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy defined the term (Tolerance) as," the conditional acceptance of or non-interference with beliefs, actions or practices that one considers being wrong but still “tolerable,” such that they should not be prohibited or constrained". It can be defined as the accepting or permitting expressions and practices of values and beliefs of others, in other words, is the accepting of the value and beliefs and be opening to the difference in cultures, religions, backgrounds and all kinds of diversities. It is a way of dealing with those people whom we disagree with, which means that everyone has their right to have their own opinion and practices. It does not mean that we have to accept others beliefs, but it means that they have the right of having such believe. Tolerance...

...try they have to spend sometimes learning about such country, although sometimes they fall in mistake by presenting their own value or action with ignoring of the host country's culture. The ignorance can cause an Offense that may consequently lead to a serious procedure. Several examples in tourism industry of having luck awareness of behavior of visiting tourist , weather it is alcohol, impropriate clothes, Prohibited behaviors in public...if I said in conservative culture. As an example , when "the European couple found them self in court after kissing in public in India, a simple mistake , but a mistake that could have been avoided with some simple culture awareness" . this clarify how much it is important to have the intercultural awareness to help in appreciate values of other cultures and then help to build up more of the relationship with other culture.
