The class GEB3213 has allow me to have a peek of the work load will encounter if I become a Health Care Administer. The following is an outline of what I have learn in this course and how I will use it in the Health Care Administration field.
Biggest Lesson Learned
The biggest lesson I learn during this class is time management. I have a 9 month old baby and he allows wants my attention. I had to rely on a family member to take care of him while I get a few hours to read the textbook and do the writing assignments. I had to truly focus on my work and not go to social sites because I barely had time to do so.
Favorite (and/or least favorite) assignment
My favorite assignment is the Industry Profile Report. This assignment allow myself to browse through companies that maybe one day I will be working for and see what jobs are open. I really appreciate this assignment.

I learned in GEB3213 is how to write in a professional manner and in APA format which will in the Capstone class and in most of my classes. I learned that in PowerPoints, it is best to use a dark background when presenting to an audience.
How you will implement what you’ve learned in GEB3213 into writing at your workplace?
I learned in GEB3213 how to write a cover letter and a resume. This is the first step into getting hired for a job. Once I am hired, I learn how to write letters, memos and emails. I also learn from the textbook to write nonsexist and be nonracial, so when I do send a letter, memo, or email, I would not offend anyone. This course also help me learn to time manage. This can help me at work because I can get all the work done on
One thing that I learned from this course is to follow directions. In the first assignment, we were told to write a personal story of what shaped you as a whole. At first, I had a difficult time thinking of a topic to write about, but after viewing other students’ essays, I finally understand what the professor was asking for, and I came up with an idea of writing how I got my cats and wanted to become a veterinarian. Writing this type of essay was difficult because I am not good at expressing myself. Therefore, I always did a bad job in describing my feelings, my thoughts, and etc. Since English is my second language, I know I have a lot of mistakes with my writing. Thus, I went to the Writing Center to ask for professional help. The tutors are very nice and willing to give you academic advices. After going to the writing center, the essay turned out to be my favorite essay that I have even written. However, the assignment was not asking to tell the story, the main theme is to write what shaped you as a whole. As a result, I got a poor grade and realized that this college level course was not the same as a high school writing course. My computing and general study skills have improved during the module. I have developed new skills such as keyboard shortcuts, how to create tables and the formatting of documents. Navigating the Open University and module website is now second nature and the Open University library is an excellent on-line resource I have learned to explore.
Healthcare administration is a field that is often overlooked, but is essentially the beating heart of any healthcare organization. With more and more hospital, and clinics, and other healthcare organizations popping up everywhere there is a need for people like me to manage the day-to-day operations. I am choosing to apply to this program because I want to study how the U.S. healthcare system operates. I want to learn the essential skills of operating a healthcare facility such as managing a budget, reducing healthcare costs, analyzing the efficiency of an organization and proposing ways to improve it. This program is going to give me the necessary education and skills so I can carry out my goal of being a healthcare administrator.
EDPS 315 has been such a great learning experience for me, and has taught me many communication and leadership skills that I plan to use in my future career and everyday life. I would say that I came into this course with a general idea of what good communication skills are and what it means to be a collaborative leader. I have always enjoyed working with others and I am always open to their suggestions and feedback. Throughout high school, I had many jobs that required me to work and communicate with my coworkers and customers. I also played sports in high school which taught me that a team can get more accomplished when working together towards the same goals. Also, a team can get more accomplished when they understand and care for one another.
This class was far more intense than what I expected but I was able to make it through the semester. I learned a lot from this class that I will carry into the future and use in other classes. All of the revision and feedback I have received during the time in the class helped me in the end. I feel like I am gradually becoming a better writer. I will take everything that I have learned in this class and use it for future reference when writing papers. I overall have enjoyed this class this semester.
One advice I wish I have had when I started this class was to ask questions when I did not understand something. I wish I have asked more questions during class, because I spend a lot of time on me own trying to understand the topic by reading the textbook. If I had done this earlier I would have understand the topic so much better, hearing Ms. Fellows explain it to me would be so much better from reading the textbook. One advice I would liked to have early in the semester was do not wait till last minute

I felt the connection with the programs that I have watched on NITV through the content it had explored the social issues, history, and belongingness of a diverse nation and aboriginal culture through the power of creativity which was expressed through art. The NITV news I have watched was based on ‘Story of the world’s longest stock route unfolds at National Museum’ (Johnson, 2015) by the artistic forms the indigenous artist Curtis Taylor has revealed the history and the stories of the people in his territory. Healthcare administration provides leadership and managemnt to health care systems, hospitals, and private or public health systems. There are requirements for most professions in the health industry but with the proper education and certification, most entry-level careers are attainable. Healthcare administrators are leaders so one must be able to handle the responsibility of the job. There are characteristics that can be associated with being a health care administrator. I have learned over the course of the past few weeks that this the career path that I would like to follow and have set a few goals to help promote my career growth. My research has helped me learn many aspects of this profession and what it takes
How this will help me is that, I need to remember all the formulas for future uses it in my next classes because mathematics require other past formula to be used in other formulas. Being good at memorizing things helps you manage your time and be able to share your ideas. In Human Studies 198, the most important thing I learned is that you may not enjoy being in the class, but try your best to enjoy the material anyway. How this would help me in the future is that I did not read the material until I had to write an essay about the reading materials.
