As I progress through my schooling I have seen how budgeting and understanding how the little things add up and where all the money goes is important for everyone but it had a profound impact on me as it changed the way that I saw saving money. I’ve been studying finance for almost four years now the whole time it’s been with the desire to become a personal financial advisor. Over the last few years I have started to see the importance of the value of budgets and watching how your money flows in and out. This breakthrough is important to me as I begin to enter a career of advising others on how they should save their income and the decisions they should make to prepare for the future. As a financial advisor it is crucial that this is something I understand because this experience has shown me it is something that not everyone knows and the ability for me to be able to bring that to my clients is what will give me a leg up on my competition and be able to provide a better service to me clients. …show more content…

It was an incredible intro class as I began my college career, in it we discussed all different type of business plans and theories and how to manage money both for ourselves and others. One of the biggest takeaways from that class for me was the ability to budget and how to manage your time and money. As I began my college life and I venture into this world of independence it was very nice to have a class to help prepare me. Certainly this wasn’t first time I had learned to budget, most people are taught that at a young age and then getting a job really helps to solidify the knowledge. However it’s quite different in college, there are a lot more expenses that you have never had to account for and your time is much more valuable as your schedule fills
