Being a part of the DePaul Leadership Scholarship would allow me the opportunity to work in collaboration with others who share similar
I am talented in business management and leadership and have strong academic qualifications from my previous education levels. At middle school, I used to chair the meetings held by the Business Students Association where I learned numerous skills and tactics of managing a business and becoming a good business leader. My GPA is 3.83, which shows that I am a quick learner and a higher performer. Having worked in various groups in the volunteering jobs and during my internship, I have great abilities like socializing fast with colleagues and working well with members of my team.
Background, identity, interest, and talent are fundamental in who I am as a person. If for some reason I wasn't allowed to include one of these topics, I would feel as if I was missing a major part of who I am. Most topics given are intelligent and challenging to write about, however I believe through the process students start to lack true personal touch and genuine passion. Yes all of the topics require talking about oneself, but students write what they think their readers want to hear. I hope to stay true to myself regardless of the topic. These days it might be cliche to say this, but it's the most simple way to describe my feeling. I am passionate about creativity and life experience in general. Right now you might raise your eyebrows and think to yourself that that's not
For starters, I participated in many positions that involve leadership skills. For instance, my participation in National Junior Honor Society as their Secretary. We collaborated greatly with student council, and were very much like Student Council. This is where I gained a lot of leadership and organization abilities especially as their Secretary, which were basically required to be organized. Additionally, I was the Best Buddies Historian, which helped with my sociability, organization, and leadership skills. Furthermore, I attended two years of college preparatory classes that helped me gain a tremendous amount of the skills necessary for Treasurer. This included having to often be resourceful with a group in many projects, how to properly organize yourself so that everything can be easy accessible, and overall creating bonds with different types of people. All of these abilities I’ve gained would greatly help me as a Student Council
A person with leadership qualities will have an education with a substantial amount of experience. This person will also be good natured and friendly. I know that I am a true example of this. I also plan to take advantage of continuing to mentor those who need direction. Organizations such as Big Brother and Big Sisters are fundamental and vital for some youths’ success. The opportunities that I have been given have confirmed to me the importance in continuing to be a leader. As I move to the next phase of my education, I have a strong desire to continue to be a mentor and leader. For that reason, I have applied to Galilao, which is a living learning community at Virginia Tech. I hope to be able to continue to lead by example through this community. I am optimistic about my future and the continued opportunities I will get to develop even more leadership
I am interested in these roles because I not only believe that I have the qualities of a good leader, but I am also confident that my peers would support and respect me in a leadership role. I am capable of making good decisions, and am also determined to make school a better place for everyone. I am interested in encouraging team spirit and solidarity in my peers. I love all kinds of sport and am prepared to support all areas of sport at St Teresa’s. As a house leader, I know that I can be a good role model and provide strong leadership to my peers.
It was probably by good luck that I saw the sign about leadership positions by the elevator considering I, being a rambunctious spirit, prefer taking the stairs; but regardless, by the encouragement of others I’m determined now that I’ll persuade you to choose me amid others for this opportunity to assist residents, students and the many artists which make up MIAD’s great community. I’m not certain of what makes an excellent leader at MIAD, maybe you don’t know exactly either, but I believe that my skills and attitude would be a positive addition to any program as I’m always ready to learn, teach and share moments. After falling into a fit of admiration for this school and the unique challenges it brings to me every day, I’ve become excited to be a part of its workings. I’d like to be someone who can help others acclimate here and give them the sense of belonging that I have received. An environment without people that care is not much of an environment at all, and I know I can be one of those people. If there’s anything I’m good at it’s creating interesting conversations, making lively connections with people, bringing humor to
As a high school senior, an individual is exposed to a vast amount of opportunities that can alter their lifestyle and shape them for the future. I have been given many opportunities to get involved in activities and organizations at York County School of Technology. These involvements have helped me to become a better professional leader and has helped me understand how valuable the quality of dedication is. I believe my dedication will help to contribute to the Presidential Leadership Program since I can provide many ideas to help the program progress throughout my college years at Bloomsburg University. I will be able to contribute to this program’s mission by getting engaged in many different community and social interactions that will
Personal Statement By Pu Liulin I am a cultivatable girl, whose affinity for finance burgeons under imperceptible influence of my mother, who has been engaged in finance. I have worked on class projects as a team leader and our team has always excelled the project. I was involved in organizing various events around campus while I was a member of the Student Governance Board in my freshman year at my previous university. I am a member of Phi-Theta Kappa Society. I have organized leadership and personal development workshops for the various chapters of the society. I have also been actively involved in volunteering opportunities like math tutoring for kids, and waste recycling. I am interested towards working in a team rather than working by myself. I have always been able to deal with different kinds of people with ease and respect. This characteristic has always resulted in the maximum efficiency while working in a team. This proves that I am a strong
Taking a closer look at my personal income statement, has not only allowed me to have a better idea of my financial situation, but it has also helped me learn some valuable lessons in understanding my revenue, expenditures, and net income.
Throughout high school, I have been involved in many activities including: National Honor Society, student council, National Council on Youth Leadership, student ambassador, drama club, yearbook, and chamber choir. It is throughout these activities that I have felt myself grow as a person and have found many opportunities to shine as a leader. The Burger King scholarship is an amazing opportunity and an extremely generous foundation. It is with the help of this foundation that allows for people to make their dreams come true. I am grateful to of been chosen as a Burger King Scholar and will use the scholarship to make a difference.
I am interested in being a peer leader because when I look back on my ninth grade experience, I realize how much I’ve grown and learned and when I talk to other people in my grade we always end up relating on the same issues we had. Although the ninth grade experience may vary with each year, the students themselves can relate to one another but I can be there to help facilitate the conversation which I’ve had experience in other conversations during Diversity Day.
Accounting opens numerous doors for careers in the business world; so there is consistently room for opportunities. For example, after I get my accounting degree, I plan on getting my certified public accountant (CPA) license. This is a test that will qualify me to practice public accounting. Acquiring a CPA license will pay dramatically higher, whereas regular accountants (on average) make 25% less than CPA’s. Being an accountant will without a doubt be a well-suited career for me, as it is supported by evidence through my detail-oriented personality and my aptitude to succeed in this field.
I want to join leadership because it would be a place where I would be able to take my ideas and turn them into projects. When I heard that the Leadership program was a place where students are able to plan school events, I was very eager to apply. In the leadership class, I would want to work on any planning or fundraising that are involved with the school. All of the Western events seem to be the highlights of people’s year, and so being a part of the planning for that would be exciting for
