As an educator the teachers and administrators have to develop a relationship with the parents and their children, the parents must feel in their heart that they are going to be involved in every process of their child’s learning that will take place in the center and with any concerns they have about their child. It is very important for teachers to sit down and learn as much as they can about the child from the parent so he/she will know what is expected from them and the work place. Since the teacher is the person that will spend the most time with the child he/she needs to know how to form the best relationship possible for the parent and child to feel secure and at ease. There are two potential obstacles that could get in the way of any family-centered childcare center. The first being language, and cultural differences between families and school staff. For many centers and teachers these obstacles are formidable to increasing parents' involvement in their children's education. When you have parent and child in your center that falls into this category it is best to learn as much as one can from the parent to learn the likes and dislikes of what the child will eat and what because of religious views the child is allowed to have in the center concerning the food he/she eats. The second would be the language of the parent and child. Sometimes there can be a big disconnect when the teacher/parent does not understand what the other is saying. According to (Wardle, 2013) Children are more secure, will have a positive identity outlook, and will be less confused when there is consistency between what they are taught at home, and what is expected and taught in the early childhood care and education
