One rule i'd suggest to be changed is cell phone rules. If you don't have a calculater you can use one on your phone, and you can use a timer and lots more. I think at lunch you should be aloud on your phones also because its not like your doing school work at lunch. When you cant get on your phones sometimes you might not get as much work done. Sometimes you have to register for a program. When your doing and if you don't do it when your teacher is there you may not know what to do to register for it or may not know the password that your teacher does. So I think it would help a bunch if we could get on are phones during school. I think it could also be good to have your phones in class in case you sign up for remind and maybe your missing
Accordingly, my first change to the rules is a requirement of all classes to give 2 days for homework. In the average life I am more likely to have one week to complete something rather than one day. School should give you an asset for the future which will be time management with an extended time to finish work. Furthermore, students shall be allowed to use their cell phones while in the halls. Students tend to respect authority when authority gives them something in return. The right to use phones in the hallway is respecting the students, hence they will teach the teachers and other staff with the upmost respect. To conclude my miniscule rant about the current rules, I would grant all students permission to listen to music during assignments that are independent. People in general tend to have more focus on a given task when sounds they enjoy and are familiar surround them. With this change in effect I can almost assure an increase in grades and effort in general.
Phones also allow parents and students to communicate. Students can text their parents or who ever is picking the up and say “where are you picking me up at ?”. Also
As you know students aren't aloud to use phones in school because they are too much of a distraction and kids will always be on their phones instead of listening to the teacher and actually learning at school.
I don´t think we need phones at school so some mean students wont bully others or spread rumors. Students could make a group chat in class to spread rumors or bully people at their school.
Teachers are finding it harder and harder to separate a student from their cell phones for eight hours. Cellular devices and social media have become a number one priority for many people across the world. Due to the fact that the student will not put down their phones during school hours, their grades tend to be lower, which could, in the long run, affect their chances of getting into college. The use of cell phones does not strictly affect younger generations, it also had major influence on adults at the
Furthermore, there are many upsides that technology brings upon students by presenting new ways of learning where technology is being used in the classroom. Within the article “Cell phones in schools pros and cons” presented by Rujuta Borkar, the advantages of having a cellular phone device in school are through emergency contact, and having a cell phone for security purposes.
During homeroom, when a student says they are going to a teacher’s room, the homeroom teacher could in fact verify that the student went to the room they said they were going to. This would also help out the teachers that forget to email another teacher that they have a student in their room. Having the tracking devices in the student’s IDs would greatly help the teachers in times when there is a lot going on. With every argument, there is another
Cell phones are small and portable yet provide so much to its user with being able to look up anything to calling your parents in case of an emergency or if you need to give them a heads up on something. With the way things are today people need to focus on incorporating cell phones into daily life and finding ways to make them more suitable in a classroom environment. Teachers are already doing this though with using apps that work with the whole class and can track data and usage of a student. It cannot be debated that cell phones are beneficial in school as before cell phones you would have to go to your local library and hopefully find what you are looking for. Cell phones belong in a school environment as they can be helpful and it 's a parent 's right to be able to get ahold of their
Secondly, cell phones can keep you connected with your buddies. Instead of screaming, and yelling in the halls to ask your buddy for books you can simply call them on your cell phone. Some students ask...
Can you see yourself without a cell phone today? This world has become so technologically dependent that it is hard for anyone to not use a cell phone, a computer, or some sort of device at least once during the day. Since technology has come so far, better education should be possible. Cell phones are a way of communication and can make people feel safe, so it is hard to believe that most schools ban them. It is time for schools to see that technology is the future and it is growing rapidly, along with educational and safety features.
For instance, taking pictures of things in class with cell phones, students can later review the photos to have a better understanding of what they learn. What’s more, a built-in calendar function that every mobile phone possesses can be very useful for students who have a hard time remembering test dates, assignment due dates and other such details where time is of the essence. Additionally, a voice recording feature of mobile phones can be beneficial to students who would like a quick way to keep track of what they need to do. After all, students may not always have immediate access to a notebook, so using a cell phone to “jot down” important information can be helpful
Having access to a mobile device all day will create more drama among the students and the teachers. Teachers will become more frustrated because the students will not be paying attention to what they are saying. Then teachers will start to complain more and try to turn phones into the office and complain to the principle. This would probably cause the principle more stress. Also, it would also cause drama between the students bec...
Teachers and students are now “using their phones as clickers to answer questions, provide feedback on student progress, and also to document labs, collaborate on group projects and capture teachers’ notes” (Higgins). Students like to do things the fun way, and by using their phones as clickers, they can learn and review for tests while having fun answering them on their phones. Students can use services on their phones to turn assignments in, too. During group assignments, students can work right on their phones. If a student was absent one day, all another student has to do is send them the work they did with the touch of a button.
Though there are some benefits of bringing cellphones to school, the cons outweigh the pros vastly. If we are to keep our schools well conducted and orderly, cell phones should not be allowed. Many issues can be avoided if we simply ban them from schools. In this technological era, students are very tech savvy. Many teachers can be outsmarted by students because of their advance technological knowledge. To avoid many issues and problems, it is important that cellphones be banned from school all together.
To begin with, cell phones are needed in school because a student can have an emergency. As teens get older they are becoming more independent. Often the only way that their parents can be sure that their kids are safe is by calling them. Imagine if there was a fire in a school and your child was the only one to know about it. He/she could call 911 or his/her parents.Or imagine if your child was stuck in the school while it was burning. He/she can call 911, her parents, or a nearby friends. Just like BubbiG(A user on Teenink) said: “Electroni...
