As an individual in the human service field, as a leader working in the field of addiction recovery, I have a responsibility to the clients I serve, and to make sure that the employees that are serving these clients treat them with respect, compassion, empathy, and dignity. As a leader, I must protect the privacy and the confidentiality of these clients, and the staff I govern. As a leader, I must also insure the safety and welfare of these clients.
