Today’s society is now more than ever very conscious of the environment. Most consumers are now environmental friendly and going green. From recycling to BPA free products and organic food, consumers are pushing for a way of life that preserves and protects the Earth. One of the environmental friendly products that is on the rise among U.S and global consumers is the electric car. The benefits to owning or leasing an electric car is not only environmental, but it also monetary. Electric cars are a beneficial product to consumers because they are better for the environment, save money on gas, and require less maintenance. When it comes to environment friendly benefits, electric cars are first in class. Electric cars are entirely eco-friendly because they run on electricity alone, and do not emit smoke or gases that may be toxic or harmful to the environment. Considering these cars run on electricity primarily, consumers can benefit from contributing to a greener climate and running their car on a clean energy source. With the instability and fluctuation of gas and petroleum prices, electric cars will obviously save consumers money in their fuel budgets. Traditional; cars need oil to lubricate their engines, but electric cars are run solely on plugging in to an electric supply. Brakes won't wear as quickly on electric cars because unlike conventional breaks, electric cars us regenerative brakes where the energy is used immediately or preserved for necessary use. Therefore, because of the overall reduction of usage, coupled with the preservation of the brakes, electric cars require less brake maintenance than standard cars.
