Gender roles is a set of societal norms dictating the types of behaviors which are generally considered acceptable, appropriate, or desirable for people based on their actual or perceived sex or sexuality. Disney films consist of many gender stereotypes and expectations that teach children how to fit the gender roles that society has created. Young men are taught that to be successful, and expected to be good looking and muscular. Young men are sometimes shown in disney movies as the man of the hour, the guy who just sweeps in and save the illustrious damsel in distress. While young boys are influenced to gain muscles, have a killer smile, and drop dead gorgeous looks. Young children should not have to want to change their looks or feel different because movies that they enjoy to watch does not relate to them or even resembles them, Disney should make their movies more relatable to the viewers with more diversity. The barrier of stereotypes should be diminished in all disney movies, children need to know that anything a man can do a female can also and young boys need to know that it's okay to show emotions and also express them even if it's with tears “which is seen as non masculine.” The limelight should also be spotted on the Princes maybe even creating a disney movie based off the princes and not having to always get married and having children or even saving them damsel in
