Wage is monetary value paid to a worker by the employer for the work done in a specific period. Some employers pay at a fixed amount for a specific time done, while others pay per hours done, respective to work done. Wages can be associated as an expenses one incur for running the business. Different level of skilled labour in an organisation enjoys different wage, example a high -educated personnel maybe paid more than less educated, level of experiences also matters a lot, for example who has ten years experience may be paid more than the one with two or no experiences. Company argues that their will incur cost to educate the un-experienced person and that where they always pay less. As the value of dollar, keeps fluctuating in USA wage rate in the whole world are also affected. Statistic has that;globally women are paid less than men are. According to World Bank statistic, women are paid 60 to 75 percent compared to that of men counterpart wages. Labour union always play a very vital role and most of time they should agree with the employer in order to prevent a strike. The second factor is government legislation, these are laws passed by nation government which minimize the wage rate that its worker should be paid. This law bids the employer and left with nothing to decide, when the law is broken the culprit would face rule of law. Productivity is another factor, company would be free to raise wage rate if the rate of production is continuously increasing.
