Q6. I believe that the revolution in agriculture was vital to the Industrial Revolution. The Agriculture Revolution helped in paving the way for the Industrial Revolution in England. The Revolution allowed new ideas to grow in the minds of others on way they could improve and industrialize their nation. The Agricultural Revolution would make extensive changes for the better in years to come. Without the agriculture improvements, nobody would know what farming would be like today.
To begin, wealthy land owner would buy land from the village farmers. Once they had purchased the land, they enclosed their land. Enclosing their lands would enable them to cultivate larger fields. The new landowners would use their larger fields to experiment on seeding and have rusting methods in the hope of boosting crop yields. These new farmlands allowed for two important results. First, landowners were encouraged to trey new agricultural methods. Second, large landowners forced small farmers to either become tenant farmers or to give up up farming and move to the cities. On the contrary side, some may have argued that the wealthy taking over their farmland was a bad idea. For example, some farmers were angry due tot he fact that they would have to give up their land; however, this proved to help

His eyes were opened when he saw that the normal way of sowing seed by scattering it across the ground was wasteful. He realized that the majority of the seeds failed to even take root. Jethro added to the Agricultural Revolution by creating the invention called the seed drill. He created his new invention in 1701, it granted farmers the ability to sow seeds in well-spaced rows at specific depths. The new seed drill was a magnificent invention that helped farmers boost their crop yields, many landowners had been working to achieve this same goal. This invention was widely successful as a larger share of seeds took
Farmers were once known for being able to do everything themselves. They grew their own food and sewed their own clothes. People often yearn for the old days and complain about so many people living in cities. Many farmers had to give up their farms and move to the cities, because of something that happened in the late nineteenth century.
Farmers’ incomes were low, and in order to make a profit on what they produced, they begun to expand the regions in which they sold their products in. This was facilitated through the railroads, by which through a series of grants from the government as...
Even with these faults, this society appreciates the hard work of farming compared to the easy way of living today. One point of Berry’s argument is that he believes that the land is falling more and more into the hands of speculators and professional people from the cities, who, in spite of all the scientific agricultural miracles, still have more money than farmers. Big technology and large economies have caused more abandonment of land in the country than ever before. Many of the great farmers are clearly becoming different because they lack manpower and money to maintain properly. The number of part-time farmers and ex-farmers increases every year due to the problems with money and resources.
As in any time period, significant technological advances were made from 1877 to 1933. Since the beginnings of the Industrial Revolution in America, new technologies and advancements are being made every day. This Revolution has transformed the economy and in turn transformed every aspect of American life. An important effect of the Industrial Revolution was the Agricultural Revolution, when new advances in farming were made. In the area of farming, the government passed laws and regulations that were significant in the ...
Land preparation for farming and animal rearing was done using a method called girdling – tree killing. They will cut around each tree to stop nutrient from getting to the tree and the leaves will later felled down. They will now come back and cut the branches of the trees and burn the underbrush. Farmer starts plowing as the trees stumps decays and stones will be removed from the fields. Fields for farming are always small because of labor and there are boundaries between fields and the neighbors. The house or the farm was viewed as the workplace. And land given out to each family will be fenced to stop cattle from wandering off going into the farm areas. The land allocated to each family will show the family social status within the community. The towns developed individually and community involvement was given a great significant although the community was close knit.
Farmers wished that the government would stop trying to spin straw into gold and just give them some silver instead. From 1880 to 1900 agrarians faced many issues, the price of agrarian goods was too low, transportation costs were far too high, and the financial system in place became more questionable. The dissatisfaction that agrarians felt certainly was very reasonable.
(Bailey) Overall, the Industrial Revolution brought more money to North America which caused the country to flourish and it kept the country alive and helped it grow to what it is today. The Industrial Revolution, in my belief, was the most important thing that ever happened to America. The country needed money and the Industrial Revolution brought the money it needed. The cities began to grow because of the people moving to the factories. The number of jobs also grew and this was good for the society.
develop their own sense of identities and express their attitude. This new attitude sets the stage which sprang from the increasing discontent of political affairs. The late 1800s, revolved around advancement in technology which benefitted mostly the industries. As the manufacturers increase vastly during this period, the population of farmers hit a decline. The result of this decline in agriculture, forced an obstacle upon the farmers. With numerous problematic issues, the farmers struggled to sustain a stable living. Agitation amplified the tension which become the leading factor that guided the farmers' discontent. The desire for systematic reforms through
New technologies not only allowed farming to become more efficient, but made the process of shipping crops west much easier. The most important innovation in farming itself was the horse-drawn combine, which required many horses to operate, but allowed wheat, a popular crop to grow in the west, to be harvested en masse. One way that eastern businessmen exploited farmers in the west was by owning the land they worked on, and taking most of their profits. Many contracts between businessmen and farmers had clauses such as, “The sale of every cropper’s part of the cotton to be made by me when and where I choose to sell, and after deducting all they owe me and all sums that I may be responsible for on their accounts, to pay them their half of the net proceeds.”
Farming is the main supply for a country back then. The crops that farmers produce basically was the only food supply. That makes famers a very important part of society. Farmers back t...
So after all the years we wonder why Britain lead the industrial revolution, well the reason is that they enjoyed many advantages that helped them take the lead in the revolution. As I have wrote the agricultural revolution increased food production, which freed many laborers to work in indust...
In 1700, small farms covered England’s territory. Wealthy landowners started to buy the land that the village farmers had once worked on. These landowners improved the farming methods they were used to which soon led to an agricultural revolution. After buying up most of the land of the village farmers, their increase of landholdings enabled them to cultivate more crops on larger fields. Enclosures were inside of these larger fields. Enclosures were the areas that landowners could experiment with more productive harvesting methods and seeding in order to determine if these experiments boosted crop yield. The Enclosure movement had two important results. First, landowners tried new agricultural methods. Second, large landowners forced small farmers to become tenant farmers or to give up farming and move to the cities. Jethro Tull was one of the first scientific farmers. He created an invention that dug deep seed sized holes, which helped more seeds take root and boosted crop yields. He made this in 1701 and called it the Seed Drill. Why did the industrial Revolution begin England, and what inventions spurred industrialization?
Surely each of these options is viable in answering the question posed. However, neither "industrial revolution" nor "political revolution" is the best of all possible answers for these questions. Thus, one must consider the matter to a greater depth. In reference to the first question-the instantaneous results of a revolution-political revolutions are more important to history. As a certain history teacher at Delran High School pointed out, the newspaper headlines of 1794 may be used as an example of this.
Without farmers, there would be no food for us to consume. Big business picked up on this right away and began to control the farmers profits and products. When farmers buy their land, they take out a loan in order to pay for their land and farm house and for the livestock, crops, and machinery that are involved in the farming process. Today, the loans are paid off through contracts with big business corporations. Since big business has such a hold over the farmers, they take advantage of this and capitalize on their crops, commodities, and profits.
The development of the industrialisation is outcome of the advancement of agriculture. Agriculture has played very important role in the development of human civilisation. Nearly 90 percent of the population lived in rural area during the 18th century. These rural families produced most of the food, clothing and other useful commodities. Talking about the advancement of agriculture, no other name comes to mind except of England. It is to be noted that farmers in England were among the most productive farmers of the world. The new methods of farming brought mass production in early 18th century leading to the Agricultural revolution. “In the early eighteenth century, Britain exported wheat, rising from 49,000 quarters in 1700 to a massive peak of 950,000 quarters in 1750” .The whole benefit of the Agricultural revolution was shared among aristocratic landholders. They were the only top authorities, as English throne was already overthrown by aristocratic class in 1688 during the Glorious Revolution. Landholders started enclosure movement to end the traditional rights of land and to gain full control over the benefits from agricult...
