For years, cyberbullying has had an effect on many lives all around the world. Every year, 4,400 teens have committed suicide over cyberbullying and is the third leading cause of death among teenagers, according to www.bullyingstatistics.org. Teens have made over 100 suicide attempts in the past year and over 14 percent of high school students have considered suicide as a last resort. Cyberbullying needs to be illegal and more and more people are getting hurt by it. There are made side effects of cyberbullying and sadly, no one is doing anything to prevent it. You can block whoever is cyberbullying you or report it to a teacher or parent. According to a study on www.stopbullying.gov, kids who are bullied often experience feelings of depression, negative school activity, sadness or loneliness, loss of interest in things that they used to enjoy, or a change in sleep and eating patters. Those victims are most likely to drop out, skip, or miss school. These depressed feelings and actions make them feel overwhelmed. That is the result of them being teased or tormented. People who are suicidal, tend to think that suicide is an escape plan. The reason they think that is to escape the pain. They may fantasize about ending their life. Suicidal people may do that in order to escape the tormentors.
