Writing my last essay was easier than writing my second essay. For my argumentative essay, I already knew what I wanted to write about because my second essay had informed my readers about cyberbullying. Now, for my third essay, I had to take a stance for or against my topic. I took a stance against cyberbullying. My essay addressed the issue why cyberbullying needs to be stopped. I know it sounds like common sense that people need to stop cyberbullying, but my essay provided the reasons why it should be stopped. Cyberbullying is one of the growing reasons young people end up taking their own lives. This topic was not a light topic to write about. I felt like I could write and write about this issue. I think I realized I had a passion for this topic because I knew people who experienced cyberbullying. Being able to connect to my topic, personally, helped me bring out that passion during the writing of this essay. In addition to learning I had a passion for this topic, I discovered I wanted to continue to research about this topic on my own free time. I wanted to continue to do more research on cyberbullying even after I had completed this essay. Also, while writing this essay I was excited that I could finally place my voice into this essay. Unlike the informative essay where I had to only inform my reader. Now, essay number three gave me the freedom to write how I felt about cyberbullying. Being able to use subjective words was refreshing for me. I now had the perfect opportunity to write whatever I felt concerning this topic. And write I did. I enjoyed this new found freedom. I never enjoyed having to write 100% objectively, like I did for essay number two. Besides learning as a writer, I learned as a teacher of
