Cyberbulling has been on a major increase in the last 10 years. . As the old saying goes, “Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me.” But that phrase will not help a lot on this situation. I personally never experienced cyberbulling. This type of bullying is picking on people online, like Facebook, Yahoo, Youtube, and video games. I did not even know what this was until I heard about this person, named Amanda Todd. She was a 15 year old Canadian and she was bullied. Long story short, she was in a long distance relationship with a older man. One day, she flashed him on webcam and he took a picture of the screen. Through out the year, her picture circulated to every school possible. Everyone made fun of her, picked on her, online and at school. She also posted her final video on Youtube, stating what was going on. People bullied her even more after that. All of a sudden, in October 2012, she committed suicide. Police and FBI still can not identify the man responsible for her photo taken. Even after her death, her last video still receives negative comments.

Reflecting:

The easiest step was to gather my information, because I too have experienced bullying. But he later regretted it. The hardest step is causing an argument between the school and there rules on bullying. I learned how frequent and tragic bullying/cyberbulling can be on other people. I will continue my own experience in future writing assignments.
