Critical Reflection

The experiences gained through years of education has taught me extensively not only about the world around me, but also who I am as a person and how I have grown through the years. These experiences have shown me many aspects of myself such as my talents and affinities towards certain subjects of studies, as well as the weaknesses I have towards other fields of research. What I have learned is my talents with logical and mathematical thinking have led me to pursue and challenge myself with subjects following mathematics and the different sciences. However, my affinity towards logical thinking has also caused my ability in liberal arts such as English and the different types of arts to fall to the wayside and become much more difficult for me to comprehend. This issue has lead me to find that learning by both practicing the problems as well as seeing written explanations has lead me to see how I learn and process information. However, the most important thing I have learned about myself is what way of studying works best for me and how to study to learn the most. I have learned that I am a very visual based learner, and that I need to see either a writing or diagram to truly understand something. I have taken advantage of this by taking pictures of whiteboards during lessons as well as taking methodical and precise notes on what is occurring in class. By doing this, I am able to go back over my notes repetitively, and therefore understand a lesson better than if I were to only listen to it. A second way of learning for me has greatly helped me in english, and that is finding a way to practice writing what the original task is. I will find a sort of practice question online, and using those questions I can continuously learn more about a
