The work load throughout the course was a great model to help me prepare for college. In addition, time management from the work in class, to the late golf matches helped me manage my time wisely. I needed the drive, the perseverance, and the will to be a successful writer, as well as successful student. The most life changing thing that I have experienced through taking this class is the improvement it has given me in further developing my work ethic. Prior to enrolling in this class, I always had the mindset that I would be able to get an A if I turned in minimal work.
My education means a lot to me and I take it seriously. Throughout my life I always tried my best to get good grades and achieve my academic goals that I've made for me. "Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world" is a quote by the inspirational Nelson Mandela that helps me when I am doing something for school and reminds me to do well. While in M.s.118, I haven't been off the honor roll and I am working towards keeping it that way until I finish middle school, then move on to keeping my grades excellent in high school. I know that there are people with higher averages than me, but I still am determined to do well in school and life as well.
Having a positive influence in a student’s life is one of the most important tools they will use for the rest of their lives. I have seen the difference the teachers can make, and what I can do, it is too important to just walk away from. I may not be able... to help everyone but, t... ... middle of paper ... ...sated. This will give us all hope, and would show my kids that if I can do it, so can they; it would allow me to have a chance to improve not just my life, but my family’s and those students, which I would be able to help on a higher level. This is not just for me, but for my family, and all of the students that look up to me.
Throughout my high school career, teachers have encouraged me and impacted my life. This is something I wish to be able to pass onto my future students by majoring in Middle Childhood Education with a concentration in science and history. Furthering my education means I can make a positive influence on the students’ lives, just like the influential difference that was made on mine. Becoming a teacher also means that when I retire I can glance back on my life and know that I did the best I could, and helped shape kids into young adults. Secondary education, however, is not free.
I just always try to maintain a positive character and a healthy relationship with everyone. Being inducted into the National Honors Society is what I have been waiting for. Becoming a member is nothing more than a dream come true, and I appreciate it greatly. If I am to be chosen as a member I know that I will be a positive and dependable participant in society activities. Due to my abilities and past experiences, I can be considered a valuable candidate because I demonstrate the qualities of leadership, service, and character.
Schools are a big part of each person’s life. Without school and education many people would not be where they are today. My previous school experiences have prepared me to be a college scholar because they have taught me to manage my time wisely, to work hard, and to be dedicated. For starters, school has taught me to manage my time wisely. In high school I was very busy and had to manage my time.
I want to be an inspiration to my younger family members to continue their education after high school. Being the first in the child to graduate college makes me feel like a genius. My best friends inspired my intercreativity to strive and work hard for my dreams. The advantage of going back to school and being an inspiration to my younger siblings has started a competition better other siblings to see who can make the best of their life. School influenced me and the people surrounding me to
I desire to become a high school teacher because I feel that students at this age needs a positive role model and someone they can speak to without talking down to them. I want to encourage my students every step of the way, as they bolster their confidence in themselves and their ability to make the right decisions. Students at this age do not understand the importance of their education and take it for granted at this stage of their life. My father instilled in me a passion for learning, at a very young age. I want to share this enthusiasm with my students.
When you accomplish great things in life it feels great. A successful student needs to use self-discipline and making wise decisions. One thing I’ve learned is to use self-discipline. This was a good topic to learn about in class because I have always gotten distracted by things that made me fall off track. In the book called “On Course Strategies for Creating Success in College and in Life” Skip Downing said “Success takes self-discipline- the willingness to do whatever has to be done, whether you like it or not, until you reach your goals and dreams.” This quote meant a lot to me during my high
In today’s advancing society, knowledge has become an essential aspect to achieve a successful lifestyle. It is important that one demonstrates scholarship from the early ages to attain knowledge and understanding for the future. I like to challenge myself in my education by taking tough classes so it helps me to establish an effective work ethic that I can compliment with my career later on the road. Taking rigid classes and still maintaining an exceeding 4.0 GPA helps me to feel satisfied and pleased for my future. In my first two years at Westerville Central, I took all honors courses, which include Foundations of and American Literature and Composition, U.S and Global History, Geometry, Cell and Environmental Biology, and Honors Spanish II.
