Ever since I was a kid I have been surrounded by music, which has caused it to have a bigger impact on me than anything else in life. Although I will be majoring in strictly Business, my dream career is to work in some part of the Music Business. I hope to graduate college with a deep understanding of management, finance, and marketing. I plan on auditioning for the choir, joining clubs, and when sophomore comes along, applying for internships at record labels in NYC and LA. Since music has always had an extreme impact on me, my dream is to simply make an artists dream come true. I have seen many people surrounding me either be positively or negatively affected by music, so I plan to find the next hit superstar and help them make a positive …show more content…
Prior to the camp I had no idea how to code, but I left knowing a strong amount of code that I believe will further me in any field I end up in. I very much believe that any opportunity you face in life could either make or break you and you are the only person that decides which of the two happens. I try my absolute hardest to ensure that I make the most out of everything I am given and whatever happens is up to fate. If I end up not succeeding how I wanted, then I choose to learn from my mistakes and move on to the next opportunity. Coding is definitely one of the most challenging things I have ever done and has given me a large amount of confidence knowing that I let this opportunity help make me into the person I am. It was a very rewarding feeling when I received my Kode With Klossy diploma at the end of camp. I am a very passionate and hardworking person, which is one of the key reasons I chose to apply for this scholarship. Receiving this scholarship would help show me that every ounce of hard work I put into my years at Warrior Run, have paid off. This scholarship would help me make the most of my future in order to help ensure my dreams come
Waving to my teammates as I walked out of the tennis courts, the reminiscence of a smile appeared on my face after winning a close match. A freshman teammate joined me and I heard her take a deep breath as soon as we were out of others’ earshot, muttering something nervously. “I’m sorry, what was that?” I asked a little too loudly, the excitement still buzzing. She mustered courage and made sure to speak clearly this time: “I’m being bullied, and I feel so trapped that I only see self-harming as my way out.”
My older sister loved the marching band, so I always got dragged to their performances. I could not tell what was so appealing about it all; it consisted of walking on a field while playing instruments and flags being swung in the air. Participating in a marching band was never what I intended nor wanted to do. The idea bored me, but my mom insisted.
It come to mind how I can think about a question (how has music impacted the world) a lot of judgements/beliefs came to my mind. It’s moreover prove false or an agreement using this purpose problem.
Studies have shown that the effects of classical music, are advantageous to both one’s ability to process and retain new information, as well as to recall and memorize old material. I believe that the outcome of an experiment of this nature will be entirely dependent upon the individual that the experiment is being conducted upon. Furthermore, due to the complexity of as well as the diversity found within humans, and the fact that no two humans are the same, I believe that the results will vary from person to person.
Throughout my life, music has always been a major influence. It has the power to change my mood when I'm feeling down, but the thing I find most intriguing about music is that it doesn't always end up improving your mood: like all forms of art, it imitates life, which is not always portrayed in a positive light. The musicians that I admire most have the versatility to induce several different emotional responses in the same piece. This quality is present in most of the wide variety of music I listen to, from Russian composer Dmiti Shostakovich, to Chicago jazz band Tortoise, to California pop/rock sextet Mr. Bungle.
Music has been affecting society throughout history. Music has been around since the beginning of time. The influence of music on modern society can be easily seen today. It has been proven that music has many influences on humans in positive and negative ways. Music has been proven to alter a person’s mood, and has shown to cause physical responses in many people simultaneously. The mind is able to concentrate better, as the body becomes more relaxed and alert. Technology has greatly affected the musical effect on the brain and the way society views, absorbs, and creates music.
The experience of the APEC Youth Science festival was incredible. It has had an enormous impact on me in many ways, changing the way I look at the world and connecting me with people and events far beyond my formerly limited experience. I am extremely glad to have had this opportunity. It was a wonderful experience on multiple levels. It challenged me and expanded me intellectually and socially. I feel that this experience has had an immense impact on me.
Music has always been an important part of my life. During high school I have developed areas of service and leadership through interests in children and gardening, which will continue to be major parts of my life.
Paul Hindemith stated, “People who make music together cannot be enemies, at least not while the music lasts.” I have found this to be very accurate whether it is differences between band-mates or personal conflicts. I have played bass guitar for many different bands for around twenty years now. In this time, I have had to deal with several types of musicians and situations which has resulted in a love/hate relationship for me with my music. There are times when I feel like things would be so much better if I just enjoy my music by myself at home, but it is like a strong magnet that pulls me back every time. It is very difficult to explain, but I guess it is just part of who I am. One thing is true for me, whether the surroundings are affecting me in a positive way or negative, when the music starts, I feel as if I drift off into a different world. While my eyes are open, I do not see anything, I can only hear.
Music dates back many centuries ago. Music was used for an array of things. In some cases, it was used for rituals, to pass messages, or even for celebrations. There are approximately five to six hundred genres of music currently in existent today. Most music would have been said to originate or birth from folk music in America and evolved overtime to form different genres of music. Music has a long history and connection to human beings and their behavior. Music can also affect someone’s behavior whether it be negatively or positively. There have been many studies and research on the effect of music towards human behavior. Specifically hip-hop and soundscape music seem to have the most interesting effects on human behavior. Moreover, to gain better understanding of how music effects human behavior knowing how the brain functions is also essential.
To put it simply, there is nothing more I would rather do than influence how people see good and the bad in our world, and to me there is only one medium for that, film.
Throughout history music has had a profound effect on a person’s mind, body, and consciousness. A song or piece of music can trigger vivid memories, and induce emotions ranging from deep sorrow to unabashed joy. Music can drive listeners to patriotic fervor or religious frenzy, or it can soothe the savage beast we call human. There have been many advances in technology that have let us study how music affects the brain. Music causes all sorts of activity in the brain, especially during musical improvisation. Music can tremendously help people with certain mind damaging diseases, and in some cases it can have negative effects.
The college I would want to go to for this would be The Art Institute of chicago. They have a really good audio production and music production program and prepare for the world of music. I want to be a music producer/music artist because that’s all I love to do is make music. Music is the one thing I can use to express myself and vent my emotions.
I first heard of the word architecture when I was in the sixth grade. At that time it only meant the design of a building to me but as I grew, it grew onto me, I began to become more interested in architecture. Now I know that architecture is more than just the design of a building. It is coming up with the structure scaling and even the view of the top of a building or house and the sectioned view. In the future I see myself as a grown man sitting beside other people while coming up with a design which would one day affect the lives of many people in a positive way. This impact would contribute to helping people use areas and space in the right way, I want to make something which would be beneficial to everyone. I am a 17-year-old African American boy who attends Brooklyn High School of the Arts, where I currently major in art.
Are extra-curricular and co-curricular activities needed in a school environment? Do they serve any purpose in the learning spectrum of school? Many individuals believe school is a place strictly for learning, nothing more. Yet, they have an abundance of different sports and activities offered. These activities are financed by public schools and are offered as something else to engage in. Although others do not agree, learning is affected by extra-curricular and co-curricular activities, such as music, in a positive way. Music programs can give students’ meaning, involvement, create positive feelings, give new opportunities, increase students’ community engagement, and can also improve students’ academic achievements. “For years the music education
