Over Christmas break 2017, I basically stayed locked up in my room the whole break playing video games. At the start of the break I would consistently played with my little brother until I got to my mother’s house where the Xbox was. Basically the whole time I was on the Xbox playing games. We would get together to celebrate usually at my parent’s house for my mom’s side of the family. At Easter we always had a ham and many side dishes. Thanksgiving always brought a delicious turkey, sweet potatoes, scalloped corn and my favorite cranberry relish. For Christmas we had a ham, mashed potatoes, gravy, glazed carrots, and for desert pumpkin pie. We always had a Christmas tree of some sort with homemade decorations that us kids made. We also celebrated my brother’s birthday since he was born on Christmas Eve. A tradition of my own was to get my parents to let me open one gift on Christmas Eve, because my brother got his birthday presents and I thought it was not
Everybody knows why the Grinch stole Christmas. The Grinch was an orphan. He came from another planet far, far away maybe there was not enough air on that little dwarf planet. Not even enough for a mouse. This is why he fell off the planet and landed on an old ladies couch. She was very nice but Santa didn’t know he existed because he landed there on Christmas Eve after Santa had already made his rounds.
This is not your typical Christmas tale. This story is about a group of friends who decide giving is better than receiving around this time of year. There are tons of children who aren’t fortunate enough to get Christmas presents, let alone plenty who don’t even have family to spend the holidays with. Three best friends ended up figuring that out and worked together to truly create a Christmas miracle.
It was nice hearing from both of you. We really enjoyed your holiday newsletter and the article written about you, Adam. Mazel Tov! You both are truly amazing and full of life, energy and passion!

After a long summer, the time has finally come for Sam and his classmates to return to school. Sam dreads going back to school, because he knows that the first weeks of school mean long, boring reviews. Despite the fact that Sam and his friends do not like to study topics they have already learned, they need to review because most students forget what they learned over the three-month break period. Many students can relate to Sam, wasting two weeks or more at the beginning of the school year. Parents, teachers, and students across the United States believe a better option exists that will waste less time. Many suggest the idea of a year-round school schedule. Almost all schools should adopt a year-round schedule because of the many advantages including higher academic
How time does a teacher need to get ready for a new school term? One day? No one would suggest that one day is enough time to close out one term and prepare for the next, but that is exactly what happens in some school districts that have year-round schedules. For years different districts have been experimenting with these schedules, and now even more are considering converting to year round schedule. For many reasons, schools should stay with the traditional schedule.
Spring Break is a time where you get to relax and spend time off from your teachers and classmates. The two things I liked was getting to spend time with my team and getting eighth place at a state meet.
Christmas is a very exciting time of the year, especially for children. With the festive season approaching here are a few ideas of how to keep the kids entertained before the big day.

My most memorable Christmas is one from my past. I was about six years old. I clearly remember sitting in class on the last day of school before Christmas vacation anticipating the bell to ring and signify that the classes were finally over. As the bell rang, I ran out of that class, and once I got home I was ready in an instant to leave for my grandmother’s where I would spend my holidays. It was a two hour drive to my grandmother’s house. I was very impatient throughout the entire drive. I couldn’t wait to see my grandma, my cousin, and my aunts. To make things better, however, snow started to fall filling me with hopes of a snowball fight the next day.
Christmas was always a big event in our family. We always spent Christmas Eve with my father's family and Christmas Day with my mom's. There was always a lot of food and many gifts, but for the first four or five years of my life, I had no clue what we were celebrating. I really don't think I cared too much, being a young child caught up in all the excitement. And I had something to call it. Christmas. That's all I really needed until I stumbled upon a Christmas special on television entitled A Charlie Brown Christmas. I must have been four or five years old at the time, I can't remember for sure, but I don't think I had started kindergarten yet. But I know I was curled up in a Sesame Street sleeping bag in front of our old television set, one of the small older models instead of the giant entertainment centers like we have now.
My dad and sister watched television, my mom crocheted, and I worked on my Kinderbuch for German class. As usual, everyone but me fell asleep. At 10:30, we packed all of our things into the back of the Tahoe and pulled around to he front to return the keys.
