Catarina Fake had many of the qualities that great entrepreneurs possess. She started out with an idea, but it quickly turned a different direction than she and her business partners had expected. Immediately, she saw and opportunity and used this situation to start Flickr. Many people would get frustrated when their initial idea did not go as planned, but as an entrepreneur would, Catarina adapted to the situation. The ability to thrive in adversity is a trait that sets great entrepreneurs apart. Unlike some entrepreneurs who have many investors and do not have to worry about the financial aspect of starting a business, Catarina did not have that luxury. These two qualities are extremely important for entrepreneurs to demonstrate because they are what build the foundation of a company. If the founder of a company has high moral standards and puts the needs of their clients first, they will gain trust, respect, and loyalty from their customers. Establishing these three things are essential for an entrepreneur to be successful. In the article Hypomania, the author argued that entrepreneurs are slightly crazy. They have a mindset, energy, and almost irrational confidence that puts them over the edge.
