There are many advantages of going to preschool and helps children develop many things. Preschool encourages better language skills and cognitive development. It also builds opportunities for early social development. Going to preschool helps children be more prepared for entry into kindergarten. This is built through educational curriculum that involves reading, writing, and numerical skills. Preschool encourages children’s creativity through music, art projects, movement activity, and telling stories. Full day programs did better than part-day programs which did decent. Children from high-quality programs reduce adults’ obesity and blood pressure. Children from poor families were randomly assigned to educational activities, basic medical care, and healthy meals for five years. This displayed better health for these kids in their mid-30s compared to those children who did not get the intervention. Childhood programs have boosted adult cardiovascular and metabolic health. Studies show that early-childhood programs can prevent the option to get low IQs. The participation of being in these programs have led to greater self-control, motivation, higher standardized test scores, and better paying jobs. A new study was consisted of a doctor that had performed physical exams on sixty-eight students around their mid-30s. Thirty-seven were involved in the ABC program and the rest received social services if needed. Out of the ABC participants, most likely men, had low rates of hypertension, obesity, and vitamin D deficiency. High quality programs can produce an enormous boost that can change children’s lives forever. Before going to kindergarten, most children come from low-income households and are substantially behind compared to the children from higher-income households. The average shows that children who came from poor families, score far below than those who come from higher-income families, these studies include vocabulary and literacy development, in early math, and social skills. Children who enter school lagging or behind do not always catch up. Children from low-income families often tend to start kindergarten behind, are less likely to have early educational support, and their parents are less well educated and stressed. These children are less likely to spend and make time for playful conversations. Preschool can provide the developmentally stimulating experiences. These three rigorous longitudinal studies would be the Perry Preschool Study, the Abecedarian Study, and the Chicago Child-Parent Centers Study. The Perry Preschool and Abecedarian Studies randomly assigned children to preschool and non-preschool groups. These two programs are the highest quality. The Chicago Child-Parent Centers Study is with children enrolled in more typical, public preschool of high quality.
