The history behind humankind could be traced back to million of years ago. Many things are still yet to be discovered about the history of of mankind. Many people learned the history of mankind through research and they passed on this research to other people and so forth. At the early age of four, students are introduced to school, school is one of the biggest parts of a human's life as it occupies most of their time while they are on earth. Many people go all the way up to grade 12, the end of highschool, and after that they face a grave choice that dictates their future. According to Merriam Webster, the definition of the word ‘free’ is, “not costing or charging anything” (Merriam Webster). When speaking on free tuition for colleges many people overlook the fact that technically “free” tuition is not actually free as someone will have still have to pay for it. The taxpayer, you, and everyone you know would be getting their taxes doubled, maybe even tripled if free college for everyone was an actual thing. Germany, one of the leaders in free tuition is also one of the highest taxed placed in the world, the free tuition in this country is one of the reasons why they are taxed so much,”While the tax wedge is certainly not driven solely by free-college tuition costs, the countries that offer this benefit have much higher income tax rates than the US” (Jackson 2017). If the United States implemented such a plan to hand out free tuition, taxes will be raised, putting the economy at risk once again. Many people also argue that free tuition will open up a lot of new opportunities and it'll make the life of a lot of people better. The option of free college has to a lot with politics and the connection to the economy. This has been a trending topic in politics with many people having different opinions on the subject. Both sides share good points but having free college and free tuition has its benefits. As stated by the National Education Association, “ In Tennessee, which recently instituted free community college, they are busy hiring more faculty to teach the classes to all the new students thrilled about the opportunity to get a higher education” (Page,Clawson). There are states that have done this free tuition and tennessee serves as an example that it does work. One of the biggest questions on free tuition is who is going to actual pay for it, but according to the National Education Association this plan would pay for itself, it will bring the economy to a higher point meaning more jobs and more money flowing in for the country.
