Organizational Overview Action against Hunger, is a nonprofit organization, that has grown from the very beginning. It was founded in the year “1975 by Bernard- Henri Levy and Jacques Attali (Action Against Hunger (2018)). The organization was engendered in response to the Afghan Crisis of 1979. Since the French doctor’s witness in 1968, the Biafra war and saw the cruelty that citizens suffer, from no proper nutrition and unsafe drinking water. Eventually, inspiring them to shun this situation from reoccurring in other communities. As of today, their headquarters is located in New York, New York (Action Against Hunger (2018)). Tamburini has the responsibility in getting the mission and/or vison to be completed. Tamburini and the organization’s area of focus is to exterminate hunger from the world. As a result, of their efforts, “14.7 million people in 50 countries have been served” (Action Against Hunger (2018). Having nearly 15 million people being help in 40 years is an outstanding accomplishment. From the 14.7 million people that were helped, there were a variety of forms of helping the community. These forms include: water point improvement, hygiene kits distribution, savory of malnutrition, health and nutrition education, and emergency responds. (Guide Star 2018).
