Police brutality is getting worse over the years, something should be done. Over many years police brutality has worsen. According to patriot talon for every 1,000 people killed by force only one officer is actually convicted of a crime. Police have always been respected in society. Today's generation has not helped. there are ,any gang and drug related crimes that may have gotten to officers heads thinking that something should be done and people need more than just a sentence in jail. Innocent people have been killed by police officers many of times. One of the worst 10 cases in history is one about a man named Frank “In 2004, 26-year-old Frank Jude was viciously beaten by several off-duty Milwaukee police officers as he was leaving a party. The group of men attacked Jude and his friend, Lovell Harris, claiming they stole one of the officer’s wallets that contained a police badge. Harris’ face was cut with a knife, but he was able to get free and run away. Jude was repeatedly punched and kicked, as well as stabbed in the ears with a pen. Even the on-duty officer who was called to stop the fight began stomping on Jude’s head.” …show more content…

Officers should be punished for long periods of time. Innocent people have no right to be killed. No matter what race, religion or etc. Not all officers are convicted of the crimes they have committed. People will not have the same amount of respect that they had over time. People will treat them like they are not important. They may think that they have power over everyone else but no one will take them as
