Not very many people realize that abortion is an issue in the U.S. There are approximately 1.2 million abortions per year, which can lead to harm in mothers and in the economy. Most people don’t understand that concept of abortions and think that it is just getting rid of the baby before it has been born with no harm included, but abortion is way more. Abortion should become illegal in the U.S. because it will soon become so big that everyone thinks abortion is safe and useful, but it is extremely harmful. First of all, abortion is murdering a child that is not even born. No matter how small the baby is, it is still considered murdering. Abortion is also breaking God’s 5th commandment. You shall not murder. The baby has a heartbeat within six weeks and sometimes before six weeks. How would you feel if you …show more content…
Abortion can cause the mother to feel nauseous, cramps, and infection. Over 85% of women become depressed after the abortion. The chance or committing suicide increases 154% after having an abortion. There is a high risk that aborters will sometime in their life get ovarian cancer. Abortion also has a significant connection with breast cancer and can increase your risk. Many people may think that abortions should be promoted in the case of rape. God has a plan for that unborn child and he made everyone for a reason. If one were to be raped and didn’t want the baby they could always put the baby up for adoption and gift another family with one of God’s many blessing. Everyone should be treated the same not matter what the circumstance are. Abortion should be illegal because of all the negative effects on the mother and on the world. Fewer abortions per year would help people realize that God put you into this world for a reason and everyone has a story and only one. In the case of rape their are other options besides aborting the baby. How would you feel if you were the child being
The main problem in the world is inevitable abortion. Because it is about morality; which people tend pay more attention. Nowadays, Abortion is a controversial problem as people think of appropriateness. However, Abortion is necessary in many cases. Three main reasons why abortion should be banned are condition that women are not pregnancy, health problem in mother, and social problem.
From conception, the embryo must be defended, cared for, loved for, and healed, as much as possible, like any other human being should be. God gives life from the moment of conception and we don't have the right to take it away. Pregnancies that result from rape aren't reasons to have an abortion. Certain conditions could excuse this penalty, such as the ignorance that the Church teaches against abortion, or mitigate the penalty, such as ignorance of the penalty itself.
Rape is a despicable crime against women. Opinions are heated, and it seems that everybody has something to say about pregnancy in the case of rape. The woman who suffered from the sexual assault are more likely to experience distress after or during an abortion. When a woman gets raped, it isn’t wanted. If one was in that situation they wouldn’t want to constantly think about the fetus and how and when it occurred. One should not be obligated to go through the particular child birth. Who would want to give birth to a baby that would suffer his or her life not knowing who the father
The words of an unborn baby are ones that almost no one ever thinks of, or hears. One of this country's most controversial topics is abortion. However, if one sees the constitutional infringement to women by the restriction of abortion; the torment to the unwanted child; and the anguish society has to sustain, then this topic would not be so debatable. Too many people do not see the effect that abortions cause. It is a very dangerous offence that affects the mother, father, the community, and most importantly, the fetus, and that is why abortion should be illegal in Canada. First, abortion is against God’s law in many Holy books such as the Bible and the Quran. Secondly, abortion does not only affect the individual, but the community as a whole, and the rights of those people are infringed on. However, abortion does nothing in the cases of rape, or women’s rights, which is the constant argument people in favour of abortion argue. And lastly, abortion should be seen for what it is, murder.
There are many reasons to keep abortion legal. There is more to this than most think such as, “back alley” abortions and how dangerous those could be, even possibly causing death of the mother. With that said, in cases of rape or incest it most definitely should remain legal. At least in America, women have rights, which that include a say in what happens with their bodies. Everyone is responsible for their own physical well-being, as women are to decide the fate of his or her own bodies; even if it is to the extent of getting an abortion. Although these may all play an important role in the topic of keeping abortion legal, it’s important to have cold, hard, facts behind these bold statements.
Abortion, which is defined as a deliberate termination of a human pregnancy, is one of the most controversial issues in society. Many people believe that abortion is unethical and morally wrong, while others believe that it is a woman’s right to decide what to do with her body. According to www.census.gov, “the number of abortions performed annually in the U.S. has leveled off at 1.2 million a year” (1). This statistic supports how many women are choosing abortion. Although abortion is legal in the United States, many people continue to voice their opinions on how it is a human rights violation and should be illegal everywhere. The practice of abortion should be banned in society because it terminates the life of an innocent unborn child, causes long-term emotional effects, as well as major health risks for women who opt for abortion.
Abortion should only be allowed in the case of rape or possible death of the mother. Abortion is a serious and scary situation. Has anyone ever wondered what abortion is? How about what abortion is doing to the United States? The following will tell people everything they need to know about abortion, and why it should be illegal.
Did you know that in the United States an abortion occurs every 25 seconds? This equates to 137 abortions per hour or 3,300 abortions every day, which is more that 1.3 million abortions every year! Abortion has always been a controversial topic and even more so since the 1973 Roe vs. Wade Supreme Court ruling. Most people have very strong opinions about abortion and inadvertently form their opinions without knowing all of the facts. Abortion should be abolished because it is killing innocent human beings, causes health risks in women, and defies the religious and ethical standards of our country.
Irrespective of any given reasons, abortion is still executing every day in every part of the globe. Abortion should only be permitted under medical emergencies and critical issues. Any other reason apart from these never justifies abortion. It is just killing a life which is yet to born and flourish. Life is God’s creation and putting it to an end is a sinful act. Every religion preaches that life is the most precious gift of God and so is divine. Hence abortion is going against one’s own religion. It is wrong, unjustified and sinful. It also affects not only one but two lives simultaneously, the mother and its unborn child, which also has a right to live. Abortion also encourages feticides and affects the male, female ratio in many parts of the world. Therefore according to me it should never be legalized for any given reasons or ground.
A mother kills her unborn child because it is unwanted, but she's not charged for murder. Is it right? There is about 46 million abortions per year worldwide, and approximately 115,000 per day, but why? Is it because rape or incest, health problems with either the mother or the child, or just because the baby's unwanted or inconvenient at the time? (The Alan Guttmacher Institute.) Abortion should be banned because too many babies are being killed from abortion, if you don't want a child you could always put it up for adoption, and most mothers don't understand the consequences that occur from abortion.
Through every choice in life, there is a decision that must follow. Abortion is a woman’s individual choice; therefore, must be a legal part in todays society. Individual rights have an outstanding role in the controversial topic, on whether abortion should become legal in the United States . The individual rights for abortion show rights of life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness. As well, women should be able to have the choice to choose to have an abortion for several important reasons. The right to make these decisions should lie in the hands of the “mother” to make decisions concerning their own to make decisions concerning their own bodies. In addition, women should be given the choice to have an abortion if they are too young and unable to take care their child financially or emotionally. Additionally, the right to have an abortion is if the pregnancy negatively affects the woman's or the baby's health. Without abortions as a choice for the “mother” to resort to while she is going through hardship on deciding whether to keep the baby or not, the endless possibilities could negatively influence the mother to put her and the baby in a dangerous positions.
Is abortion right or wrong? I believe that abortion is neither totally right nor wrong. I do believe that teenagers should be able to have abortions without parent’s permission but, the parents should be informed because it’s a medical procedure. Teenagers should be able to have abortions because there only children themselves, they haven’t even grown up so how would they be able to take care of a child? Not only will it be difficult to care for a child, but their choices will be limited when the baby is born. Teens 16 to 19 were three and one-half times more likely than the general population to be victims of rape, attempted rape or sexually assaulted which leads to my third reason why teenagers should be able to have abortions. Teenagers should absolutely be able to have an abortion if they are raped it’s un-fair to force a victim to have her attackers child.
I believe that abortion should be banned. I strongly feel that pregnant women who want to abort their child/fetus should not be allowed to. For one, should one person alone be allowed to control the fate of another? Technically, abortion is murder, since the baby is being killed purposely. Some say that in the early days or weeks of pregnancy (maybe even in the first couple months) the baby is in fact not alive; it is just a bunch of cells. However, the fetus is breathing, and obtaining nutrients from the mother before she even knows that she is pregnant. Within no time, the fetus also has human characteristics: a head, hands, legs, arms, feet, and a torso. Thus, abortion should be legalized only when murder becomes legal, because abortion is murder.
Abortion is one of the most debatable subjects in our society. There are many different points of views when it comes to this sensitive topic. Initially when I started researching the topic I was almost certain that I would fall into the category of Pro-life individuals. However, after thinking long and hard and taking rape into consideration I have to say my views have changed completely. Although I am still against abortion, I think there should be certain exceptions made for women who are sexually assaulted and become pregnant from the rape. Hopefully after reading the research information I am providing, you will also take into consideration an abortion in the event of rape.
First, I feel that abortion should be illegal because it can result in medical complications and also psychological trauma. It can cause premature birth and could also cause a baby to be handicapped in future pregnancies. A woman who has had an abortion is 2.3 times more likely to get cervical, ovarian, and or liver cancer. Abortion is the cause of 47,000 woman’s death yearly. It can cause depression for at
