Well this quote was taken directly from businessmen, and presidential candidate, Donald Trump. On the other hand, democratic candidate Bernie Sanders said, “I think obviously vaccinations work. Vaccination has worked for many, many years. […] I am sensitive to the fact that there are some families who disagree, but the difficulty is if I have a kid who is suffering from an illness who is subjected to a kid who walks into a room without vaccines that could kill that child and that’s wrong.” when talking about vaccinations. On one side, Bernie Sanders wants to raise the minimum wage so that it is livable, and balance wages between men and women. Doing this will help young adults and struggling parents to revive themselves from poverty. On the other side, Trump wants to raise taxes on the ninety nine percent so he can pay for unnecessary wants, like the deportation of all Mexicans in the US. He wants to make taxes bigger on everyone so he can “fix” the economy, when in reality this would make it much worse. More importantly, Sanders wants to raise taxes on the richest one percent of the US. In his words, “Let us wage a moral and political war against the billionaires and corporate leaders, on Wall Street and elsewhere, whose policies and greed are destroying the middle class of America.” He wants to do this so that the government can do more useful things, like have paid maternity leave and income for the homeless. Directly opposite, Trump wants to lower taxes on the rich one percent. This would let him gain an increase in wealth and power. He has said that if any businessman is paying over thirteen percent of their wages, then they should fire their accountant because that’s too high. The average middle class American pays around ten to seventeen percent of their income. For some this can be life changing, because to them twenty percent of their wages can mean the difference between life and death. Sadly, to millionaires like Trump, a measly ten percent of their wages would be more than enough to pay for a family’s food for a year. Sanders has also made it clear that he wants to make all school, colleges and public schools, free. Proof of this is when he stated, “Every working family in America knows how hard it is today to find affordable childcare or early childhood education.” He wants to do this so students do not live in debt their entire life, and so people who can barely get by, have a chance at a good
