Comparison and Contrast Essay
Education has been and will continue to be a very important aspect in everyone’s lives. In society, in order to achieve great knowledge of a desired profession one must take a step to higher learning. There’s an overwhelming difference between high school and college, but at the same time a few similarities a lot of people can agree upon.
High school is a place where young teenagers are taught to tackle on the bigger challenges in life. Their own personal growth and maturity usually start here; depending on the person. Coming straight out of middle school, high school is a new environment that gives a student the chance to find their identity. This is a place where someone can venture out and meet new people or stay with the same people that went to middle school with them. Sadly, some only stayed in a bubble with the same group of friends only because they saw them every single day for five days out of the week. Knowing almost every person in class is not a challenge to many. The classes are usually small, consisting of 25 people or less. Seeing the same people every day, doing group assignments, presentations, assigned seating’s, and roll call is pretty hard not to know someone’s name by heart, but getting to actually know the person is entirely up to them. Having a legal guardian, they usually require a curfew for many students, because school is the next day. When it comes down to doing assignments in class or homework at home the books are given to the students for free. The books are provided by the school and does not leave the students penniless unlike students in college. At this time students like to express the way they dress, but theirs restrictions of course. ...e way is common for everyone to experience. Graduation is something that feels too far away, but when caught up in the moment it is here the next day. High school and College are very stressful but when gradation is over it will all be worth it. Hard work truly does pay off.
As we have seen, the differences and similarities that make high school and college what it is today is something of a learning experience in life. In high school, four years to graduation and attending college may feel like an eternity, but comes to an end sooner or later. The transition from high school to college, while nerve racking and exciting, can also be very difficult. College is a lot different than high school, but also rewarding. People may take many things from someone as they please and do what they want with it, but knowledge will forever be imbedded in everyone’s brain.
