I choose to do the Ultimate tea diet because it was inexpensive, and friendly to consume. Mark Ukra who runs a teashop in Los Angeles established the Ultimate Tea Diet. The diet consists in 3 basic steps. First you choose the tea that you enjoy the most, secondly you drink it all day, and lastly you eat a manageable diet plan. I chose to drink green tea, and the diet plan was eating raw vegetables and fruits. Not sweeteners should be added to the tea. The tea can be consumed hot or cold, the dieter will have to drink tea in the morning, noon and night. They recommend eating normal meals in the day that include a balance of fat, carbohydrates, and proteins. Half of the plate should be filled with healthy carbohydrates such as; fruit, vegetables, and wholegrain.
What are the fundaments of this diet?
This diet is encouraging weight reduction through ingredients found in teas. Starting with caffeine that has been found as a stimulating of L-theanine, an amino acid able to have harmful effect in the appetite suppression. Also EGCG is a component find in tea that increases the efficiency of fat burning rate. The tea diet has many positive outcomes and has been gaining popularity for been safe. The fact that it’s allows the dieters to eat carbohydrates, and proteins have been attractive. The tea that had shown to be more effective is the green tea. Green teas have the ability to regulate the levels of blood sugar in a person thought the reduction of insulin levels that the body produces. This mechanism prevents that fat deposit and stored, and at the same time maintained the appetite under control.
The pros of this diet are the following; tea may assist to recede cholesterol levels and blood glucose, mindless snacking will be cut...

I will definitely prefer to consume green tea, than other dietary supplements for weight loss. However I will only recommend this diet if the tea doesn’t have caffeine, and the persons it’s following well plan balance diet. And also water shouldn’t be eliminated or replaced for tea. Overall this experience was good to understand how people will follow any diet found in the Internet without consulting a dietitian or a doctor. These trends diets have big repercussion on obesity and overweight, because unfortunately most of the people that loose weight ended gaining the double or gaining the weight back. As future dietitians we have to inform the trends diets in the market and be able to educate the community teaching them that our lifestyle will bring better results.
