They use social media in a many ways, for example, they intimidating, which is known and consider as cyber bullying and is happening in mostly all of the generations. I myself have been encountered up close with cyberbullying with a cousin of mine who’s been harassed and embarrassed by some of his classmates just by how he standout of all the other kids. It’s very difficult once you are known to be that kid in which all the environment you knew become a daily issue of conflict and embarrassment. I’ve come to understand that these younger generations have evolved to become individuals who lack of good ethics. For example, it is more commonly known in teens to upload some type of expression like pictures or comments to others in an inoffensive and offensive way that may be used as a meme to offend the target or even be manipulated and could later affect them in the long run. In addition, it social media affects in most part young users in ways that they will imitate what they see and make a usual thing to do. This topic captured my attention by the fact of matter that I have sibling that are around the same type of age in which I am referring to in this paper and completely relate to some of the scenarios that I found in my research. I would like to promote for a media user to use social media with better morals and ethics so that young media user can become more related to what should be considered a good socialization.
In conclusion, I believe that social media affect in younger generations should be considered a subject to be aware of all the time, so that users can see and learn from these cases and be more concern about how affecting it can be in one’s emotional well-being no to mention the conflict one can face in that type of environment. I’m confident that these reliable research conducted will help users see and relate to some type of scenarios and eventually help them see and transition the new thought they might have to other social media users.
