Women Driving
Women driving have been a major controversy in many countries and cultures for a long time. Whether or not women should drive has been debated throughout the years all over the world. Driving is an everyday activity that is used to commute by all sorts of people around the road and is considered to be the safest, most efficient and reasonable choice for people. However, the driver has great responsibilities towards the road, road users and pedestrians. Gender is not a reason to ban or forbid driving. Women, just as men, should be allowed to drive as long as they abide by the laws and rules of the road and possess the sense of responsibility without doing anything that would jeopardize the safety of the road users. That is gender equality to treat women like men in their rights and should women drive or not is return to women only to decide it is desire that women must have freedom to decide it is choice
Firstly, Driving is not considered to be a dangerous task that requires special requirements in order to perfect. Furthermore, driving rules and laws are put to encourage the drivers to drive responsibly and safely, abiding by such rules and regulations makes driving an easy task for all drivers regardless of their gender. According to THE GUTTMACHER organization, the increase of road accidents is caused by women due to their mental restrictions; however, men can also have mental issues and should be forbidden to drive if such issue is present. Furthermore, According to THE MIND organization, mental health affects the driver, whether male or female. Therefore, women are not the cause of inconvenience on the road. Having equality rights allows for the acceptance of the diversity in human beings as well as granting them with the feeling of equality towards others under the equality rights from as imposed in the Charter. Discrimination against women is currently occurring in Saudi Arabia, where women driving are frowned upon and if authorities catch sight of women driving they stop them whereas men are allowed to drive freely. Distracted driving something that is known too well, and can been seen on a day to day basis on the road. But what is the underlining cause, and biggest reason for the negative impact of distracted driving. The conversation addresses the issue of DD (distracted driving), convey that adults and teens need to educate themselves about distracted driving. Engines roaring and cars flying down the highway recklessly, racing to the finish. This is a stereotyped outlook on teen drivers. This however, is not the case. Teens don’t drive to race down the road. They drive for freedom. They drive to get where they need to be on their own. The driving age should not be raised to 18 because it takes away their feeling of freedom, Denies the access to needed transportation, denies experience, It puts additional stress on parents, and they need to be learning the driving skill while they’re young.

Every year, thousands of people are injured or killed in car wrecks caused by road rage/ aggressive driving. Despite this fact many people still are impatient and become angry on the road. Driving is a curious display of public and private acts. A car isolates the driver from the world. The personal sensation of power over a couple thousand pound car is intoxicating. Road rage/aggressive driving starts from things such as illegal or improper lane changes, failing to yield the right of way, and excessive speeding just to name a few. Everyday we deal with this type of driving. Everyone runs a great risk just driving around the corner to the local convenience store or just to the local church. According to U.S. News and World Report, the United States Department of Transportation estimates that two-thirds of fatalities are at least partially caused by road rage/ aggressive driving. This essay will look at some of the arguments for and against road rage/aggressive driving.
Turning the age of sixteen is a huge step in the life of a teenager. When becoming the age of sixteen a new challenge is brought into that person’s life, and that new challenge is driving a car. But are sixteen year olds ready for this for this task? Some people would say that driving a car can be very problematic for a sixteen year old. Those people are right, sixteen year old should not be driving cars at that age, and just leave it for the people who are eighteen or even older to handle such a task. As expected, most if not all teens will disagree with that. But there are some safe teen drivers that are thrown into the bad teen driving category just because they are a teenager that drives. If there are some good teen drivers, then do all teens really need more drivers education? Samantha Williams is a senior at Winchester Community High School that has an answer to this question. “I do consider myself to be a safe driver. I’m always aware of my surroundings when I’m driving, and I always stay away from any distractions” (Question 1). She is intentionally aware of her surroundings and stays focused while driving. Road safety is one of the most important aspects of daily living. Our vehicle is our main transportation from one place to another. The number of car and motorcycle accidents seem to be increasing because of the many distractions, the lack of safety measures and judgment to road conditions and weather. Not being cautious increases the chances of not only injuring ourselves but hurting others as well. On the road, you see people talking on their cell phones or texting, eating, putting makeup on, changing the radio station, reading or using your GPS while driving. These are all distractions that endanger drivers, passengers and bystanders safety. Safe driving involves off-road precautionary measures such as making sure tires are properly inflated, testing windshield wipers, getting regular oil changes and tune-ups and adjusting the mirrors.
