Should social media play a major role in our kids live? In our current world where computerized items have increasingly impact on individuals ' day by day lives, certain social media web sites has definitely turned into the focal point of many peoples lives. More so, they have turned into a part of an individual 's way of life. Alongside, Twitter, instr gram, and YouTube, which as of now are every day partners for a huge number of individuals, there is one more application that causes discussion and clashing concerns: Facebook. In spite of the fact that it has numerous conflicting concerns, facebook in truth is a valuable program people use to remain in contact with family and friends.

What I am in favor of is an intelligent and sustained dialogue with the community served by the public library. I am concerned at the arrogance implicit in our believing that we can hide behind intellectual freedom rhetoric. By doing this we are indicating to the public, as my local paper 's editorial cartoon suggests, that we are unconcerned about pornography, the net and children. I would admit that it is an explosive issue for which there are no easy solutions, and I 'd make it clear that the public input is very important, into the best possible solutions for the community. I would consider any solution to be a work in progress and continue the dialogue with parents and community leaders for as many years as it takes. This issue is not going to go away, any more than have calls for book banning. And worse, this issue threatens to divide the library community, which certainly continues to weaken our credibility with our decision-makers and the
