Pros and Cons of Apple iPhone Without a doubt, Apple has created one of the world’s favorite and best selling phones on the market. Up to 2014, Apple was able to sell an accumulated 590.56 million units in iPhones. One of the things that Apple has done is mastered simplicity. Each and every single one of their products has been made to where they are simple to use and operate. Many people around the world complain about how they don’t know how to use an Android device but, the second they pick up an Apple iPhone, they are greeted with a simple layout and somehow already know how to use the phone. Although the iPhone’s software is easy to use, it is easily overlooked at how complex the hardware is set up. iPhone has come a long way since its …show more content…
This was the slogan to the iPhone 5. Although Apple did increase the size of the screen to 4 inches, this was still very small compared to most phones out there on the market at the time. Another con with the screen was the resolution. The resolution was only 1136x640 which is not technically high definition. Like the screen size, many smart phones were ahead of the iPhone 5 in this category (GSM Areana). Also the iPhone 5 did not have a fingerprint sensor while some other smart phones had already had them. It was not until the next year that Apple fixed this con and installed Touch ID on the iPhone 5S. There were many pros that came along with these three phones, mainly the iPhone 5S. This is because the iPhone 5S was one of the first phones at the time to have dual tone flash for better pictures in low light, slow motion video recording, a 64 bit architecture cpu, and an M7 chip for motion tracking apps which greatly improved battery efficiency. The biggest pro for the iPhone 5C was without a doubt the price. This phone was basically the exact same internally as the iPhone 5 but was offered at a much lower price. Another pro to this phone was its appearance. This was the first and only iPhone, as of right now, that offered bright colors for its new plastic back housing. Colors such as baby blue, hot pink, neon green, bright yellow as well as white were all colors that …show more content…
Pros that are immediate from appearance are the size. Apple gave the iPhone 6 a 4.7 inch display, the iPhone 6 Plus a 5.5 inch display, and the same went towards the S models respectively. Apple also improved the glass making it extremely tougher than its predecessors and redesigned the entire look giving the phone rounded off edges and moving the sleep/power button to the side of the phone. As for the internals of these new phones, the cpu of the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus is incredibly fast while the 6S and 6S Plus are even faster. Every phone from the iPhone 5 to the 6 and 6Plus were only given 1GB of RAM and Apple gave the 6S and 6S Plus 2 GB. The cameras on these phones were phenomenal in quality in just about all aspects. The iPhone 6S and 6S Plus were capable of 4K video recording which was new to iPhone users but had definitely been around on other phones. These new phones seemed perfect but they did have their flaws. Some were significant while others were minor. One of the significant cons was that the iPhone 6 Plus was very easy to bend and could even bend in some cases if it was placed in someone’s back pocket. Apple did resolve this problem with giving the 6S and 6S Plus and new 7000 series aluminum housing (Apple). This new housing was significantly stronger and could hold way more pressure than previous models. Some people also
For most people, not having a cell phone is unimaginable and without one we feel disconnected from the world. The leading device that helps us survive and navigate through this current hi-tech world is the Apple iPhone. With features like 3G network capability and remote database access it offers full computer functionality in the palm of a hand. Besides voice calls and text messages, the iPhone allows for full web browsing, email, and allows the installation of applications to further enhance usability through its own AppStore. But what if one wanted to push the iPhone’s capabilities beyond the limit of what Apple is willing to provide? The answer can be found in our other world, the cyber-world.
When I began this project of cellular communications. I was very focused on trying to prove that cellphones are bad. I saw people all over the Community College’s campus with their heads down, their headphones on, or their phone to their ear. No one seemed to be “here” anymore. Everyone was involved in their own worlds that others were not invited to, and they seemed to prefer it that way.
The advertisement of the brand new iPhone wants us the consumers to make a comparison with our recent phone, and see all these new features
The principal conclusions of this report show that the iPhone is a successful product that combines interesting features: iPod, internet browser and mobile phone, which satisfy the customer’s needs moreover it is also exceeding their expectations thanks to its fashionable design. However the UK current mobile market is very competitive, so Apple will have to deal with tough competition against established mobile phone manufacturers. The report finally comes up with some recommendations that can help improving Apple’s performance and the marketing environment for the iPhone, these are mainly:
The major pros I found while owning this phone just over a year now are iMessage, first to get apps on the market (usually), and constant updates fixing bugs and other issues. One of the main reasons that I bought the iPhone 6 was for iMessage; iMessage, in my opinion, is one of the most attractive features that the iPhone has to offer. iMessage is more of an instant messaging application than it is a text app. With iMessage

Apple uses a app called the app store. This has thousands of apps that people can purchase. These are made and designed by people. The only thing with apple is that you can only purchase apps on the apps store. When people start talking about android there are many different phones and devices that a person can use. For instance someone can buy the galaxy s6. This phone runs on android 5.0! This is the latest software that has come out. Whenever you buy an android phone they use only android. These devices can run both systems. Android has there own app store that they use. Android is more complex. You can design android to the way you like it. People who want a device that you can customise use android. Android is more for the advanced phone geeks. Apple is more simpler for people to understand and use. The samsung galaxy s6 has a lot of cool features. There 's a camera With 5-megapixel front and 16-megapixel back cameras that can launch in just 0.7 seconds, capturing moments the moment they happen is as simple as point, click, snap. Technology has become a huge part of everyday life, and people seem to have one great debate and are fighting over which is the best phone, iPhone or Android. The Apple iPhone is a cellular smartphone that was created and is maintained by Apple Inc. Android is another type of smartphone that is accessible to consumers, but the operating system is powered by Google and many different companies produce Android devices. The different operating systems and interfaces have created a long and carried out debate to which was superior. iPhone is the better phone and there are many reasons as to why it is superior to its rival, Android. The iPhone’s sleek and beautiful design has users’ hands fondling the device and never putting it down. The operating system is very distinct, but is straightforward with its functionality. People who purchase the iPhone believe that they have received their money’s worth and more when owning and iPhone. The iPhone is better than Android when compared because of the beautiful design and attractive display, the operating system and its functionality, and the device’s personal worth is definitely worth the money spent to own one.
The effects of technology on society will always be a double edged sword. The debate is a never ending one, in which both sides have valid and compelling arguments. The Industrial Revolution reduced manual labor in the long run, but had negative consequences such as child labor and sweatshop conditions. Nuclear Power reduces the cost of producing energy, but raises serious environmental issues like pollution and radiation. In this day in age refusing to assimilate to at least some form of modern living is simply not an option. One invention causing controversy today that has yet to cease being alter, modified, and “improved” since its debut is the ever present cell phone.
Group chat is when multiple people can text each other at the same time. Anyone in the group will receive all the same text and will be able to see what everyone has written as well. Time-lapse is when you can take a video and it goes frame by frame and the video show’s at a faster rate. Slow-mo is the opposite it shows the video at a much slower rate (slow motion). The find my iPhone app is when you cannot find your phone so you login into your iCloud account and it will show you exactly where your phone is located. The front camera has stunning quality compared to its competitors which is Android and Windows. Touch ID is when you can use your fingerprint to unlock your phone rather than you putting in your password. These are some of the reasons why I think iPhone’s are the best smartphones that there is right now because of the ability to FaceTime, The apple care and the features of the phone it has.
Forty-one years ago on April 7, 1973, Motorola engineer Martin Cooper changed the world by making the world’s first cell phone call. With a 10-inch-long, 2.5-pound phone nicknamed “the brick” he called his engineering nemesis at the much bigger company Bell Labs (Here& Now, 2014). The phone gave 30 minutes of talk time after 10 hours of recharging and it cost a grand total of $3995. In those days, the average middle-class person could not afford to buy a mobile phone. By the late 1990s, cell phones became progressively accessible to the overall population. (Ef.org.vt.edu, 2014). Ever since then the sizes and the technologies in and of cell phones has been changing to accommodate the masses. Decades later, cell phones, and now smartphones, live in the pocket or purse of nearly everyone in the United States. Cell phones tell us the time, give us directions, take pictures, entertain us and help us exercise, all while making it possible to post each and every sordid detail to the internet without going anywhere near a computer. These new devices however convenient also bring complications along with them. This research paper will delved into the advantages and disadvantages of a cell phone, visit the health risk and factors affecting people who are exposed to cell phones, Discuss how cell phones have changed our way of communicating and socializing with one another, outline preventative measures surrounding the way cell phones have degraded our way of life and expound on the Thesis: Though cellular phones have provided many advantages since inception their cause more harm than their benefits they are worth.

The very first iPhone was announced by the founder of Apple, Steve Jobs, in 2007. His vision was to reinvent the phone. iPhones have revolutionized smartphones and have shaped the cell phone industry into what it is today. On January 9, 2007, Steve Jobs put together an incredible keynote presentation. He stated that he would be “introducing a wide-screen ipod with touch controls, a revolutionary mobile phone, and a breakthrough Internet device” (Ritchie, 2015). The audience assumed that this meant that Mr. Jobs would be launching three separate devices. However, it was only one device, the iPhone. Within the past 7 years, Apple has been able to tweak its iPhones by incorporating major redesigns. These redesigns use combinations
With Apple continuously innovating they have improved the battery life, increased the memory capacity, or a better colour options. With each change they have considered the value and to what it will mean to the customer and how will that meet their needs.
