Before beginning to talk about the summary of this book I would like to write about my opinion. In last time, I read a lot of book about autism and how parents and teacher can deal with their children but honestly, this book is one of the best books I've read about autism disorder. Anyway in front pages in this book the author talked about her beginning to write this book and why she focused on ASD, especially she has son diagnosed by this disorder. This book consists of nine chapters each chapter includes wealthy information about autism disorder. However, all of these chapters are helpful, but I choose some chapters that I think are important for all parents who have children with autism must to read it.
Chapter one focuses on some myths that people believe it, and they have wrong idea about people with autism. In fact, individuals with autism vary from each other, not all of them are geniuses as some people think or savant, unintelligent, violent maybe some of them do bad behaviors because they have pain or trying to understand what people say or want to communicate with others. Furthermore, some people when see any person have some characteristics of autism and do not have communication with others think they are suffering from ASD.
Chapter two focuses on how to know if a person has autism. I think this chapter is most important the chapter in this book because there are a lot of families do not have background or experience to know if their children have ASD or not. The author advice all parents if they have any anxiety about their children go to medical professional who have experience about autism disorder to diagnose their children because early intervention is best treatment for them. ...ther people say about child but support him or her every time and everywhere because when you will love and respect your child of course other people will do what you do with your child. Try to control wrong behaviours. In fact that is hard of families to make control to their autistic children because most of the time they do bad behaviour but try to understand what reasons of these behaviour. It could do not comfortable in place, or they want to say something but they ca not connect the idea. Also, try to watch funny movies, sit with silly people and stay away from radio or newspaper because sometimes include sad news. Take care of yourself. Eat right, exercise, and find ways to reduces stress, whether it means taking a nightly bath or practicing morning mediation. All of these acts will affect in your mental health and how you will deal with your child in daily
