Similar to most big cities in the world, Jakarta as the capital city and most populated city in Indonesia made transportation problem a major problem. Transportation become a major problem in Jakarta due to the traffic jams that happen everywhere and every time in Jakarta. Actually there are some main problem that need to be solve which caused this congestions. Nowadays, all private and public transportations are running in the streets, this make the roads are too crowded. On the other hand, roads and highways in Jakarta are still too few and never increasing although the transportations are always increasing. The other big problem that need to solve is the public transportation. Jakarta does not have enough public transports for their people. Other than that, the current public transportations are no more comfortable and efficient for the user. Therefore, people prefer to use their own private transportation that will make a traffic congestion at the end. With these transportation problems in Jakarta, we need to solve all the problems as soon as possible for a better Jakarta.
As the traffics in Jakarta are getting worse, the Jakarta’s government and people should find the best solution to reduce the traffic jam. Nowadays, most problems are happen because of the scarcity of the roads and the increases of transportation on the road. Therefore, we need to think about a new innovation of public transportation which is not using the road, but still safe, efficient, and comfortable. The skyway PRT (Personal Rapid Transit) is a public but private transportation which is not moving on the stre...

...to use it is because public transportation has so many hassles, not comfortable, not safe, and not efficient. They prefer to use their car which can move almost immediately and they feel they can be free in their personal vehicles than sitting next to a total stranger in a bus or a train. With this problem, the government should decrease the fares of the public transports, make the transportation more comfortable, clean, well-managed, and has a strategic terminals or stations.

The reaction and effectiveness of this poster might have been different in today’s society because Americans take full advantage of carpooling. The creation of Uber and Lyft are methods Americans use to carpool. This poster marked the beginning of a new tradition in American culture. Carpooling since 1945 has been a method to save gas and money. Overall during my analysis, I was able to put myself in the mindset of an American citizen during this time period. In today’s society, this poster would be effective to Americans including myself because we actually take advantage of carpooling in our daily
In the city of Philadelphia the act of getting around is very hard to do, so the tactic of public transportation was created. People use public transportation to cease the vast amounts of traffic that would otherwise be created. Trains and subways running under the city made for a minuscule change of infrastructure while still getting the job done. This tactic was innovative and created a speedy technique to get in and out of the city. Public transportation was also effective because the price of a train ticket or a bus token is so much less than that of a parking spot in downtown Philadelphia. Consumers were outraged by the traffic and the prices of having their own car in the city so they took to another route, public transportation. Tactics are used by individuals (consumers) to challenge those set by higher

These include encouraging commuters to use public transport, decongesting public transport, decentralizing businesses from the Greater Toronto Area, investing in transport infrastructure, passing relevant transport legislation and dialog with stakeholders in transport industry. These solutions aim at discouraging the use of private vehicles and increasing the effectiveness of public transport to increase the capacity and speeds needed to reduce congestion in Toronto. However, it is important to involve all relevant stakeholders when developing solutions to the transport congestion since as earlier discussed, these people may offer very effective solutions to this problem since they are the major road users. The general public will also be keen to follow changes made to improve the transport sector if it is involved in the change process. This will ensure that Toronto has one of the best transport systems not only in North America but across the
Transport is a political factor as it is controlled and affected by legislation. This will impact on the staff and opponents (travelling to the stadium) as the accessibility of transport will impact on travelling times – both positively (may avoid traffic on a train e.g.) and negatively (trains, buses etc. may be cancelled or delayed). The price of transportation will also affect the mode of transport that these groups of people may use. Similarly, price and accessibility of transport will affect the consumers also. The view that consumers hold on transport, therefore, is likely to impact on the business i.e. effort to travel, money to travel etc. as this will influence how often they will visit, what they will spend during their visit etc. According to (Mintel 2011,) the amount of people using train as a mode of transport is on the rise, mea...

One reason for this is because they do not have proper transportation. Everyone loves to own a car. It can get you quickly to your destination, whether it’s work, school, or your own home. Cars can be very expensive.
People should not be forced to use public transportation because it is bad for the environment, there would be too much infrastructure upgrades, and not everyone can access public transportation. Everyone using public transportation would be bad for the environment. Transportation is responsible for 15% of global CO2 emissions (Rodrigue, 2016). These CO2 emissions hurt the environment every day, and because transportation vehicles such as buses are much bigger than cars,

Students who own a car might experience sitting in such a long traffic, where during the traffic cars may produce noxious gases relieving particle of air that can contribute the affect to human health. The most important reason why ownership of private vehicles should not be banned is that vehicles are an essential part of modern city living. Without vehicles, a lot of inconveniences will occur. For example, people would be forced to walk quite a distance to school, in the case of students, or to other places. They need to go through the hassle of waiting for and using public transport. This can be quite the problem in rural areas where public transport is unreliable at best and can even be non-existent. According to (Jong Gatoona 2010), One reason people avoid public transport is that it wastes valuable time. When it comes to going somewhere, public transit will in most cases take more time to reach the desired destination when compared to driving there. For example, 30-40 minutes of driving will instead take 45-65 minutes when public transit is used. This estimate of course does not factor the time taken waiting for vehicles to arrive i...
