Illegal immigrants should be allowed in the United States because of manual labor. Philip Martin believes that illegal immigrants work harder than average of Americans in the United States. According to Philip Martin “Anecdotal and survey evidence suggests that many illegal aliens at least initially work harder than similar American workers. Many of the jobs filled by illegals are physically demanding, and American workers hoping to eventually find a better job are more likely to complain. illegal aliens, on the other hand, often have a savings target and are willing to work very hard to keep their jobs. But Americans can find a better job and can move around more than immigrants because immigrants find it harder to go places, they either have to take the bus or pay taxi to get around and they want to just make through with what they have unlike most Americans do. Eduardo Porter claims that illegal immigrants would get paid less than most Americans because of their background. According to Eduardo Porter that “This increases the growth rate of the economy and pushes wages higher. Mr. Peri estimated that the wave of immigrants that entered the United States between 1990 and 2007 increased workers’ incomes by about $5,100 a year on average, in 2005 dollars. This amounts to more than a fifth of the income gains over the period” (Porter 12). This means that illegal immigrants increased the company’s income by $5,100 a year and that was more than with American workers in years. Also they increased the company worth because of all the products that are being made or services that are being done by illegal immigrants for less. Steven A.
