Yemen
There are several countries that make up the world. Yemen intrigues several people with its rich history, interesting local activities, and unique culture. Yemen is a Middle Eastern country with a very interesting culture. They do things that are very rare to see here in the United States.
Firstly, Yemen’s history is very rich. From around 750 B.C., this country has been at war. They have fought almost every country several times in this time. They were at war with Africa, Britain, and Egypt. They calmed down around 1945, where they joined the United Nations. They quickly left and are no longer in the UN. They are now part of the United Arab Nations. This country’s leadership changed with every war, but mostly was a king the entire time. Although this country started as a Christian country, it is a Muslim Arabic nation presently.
Secondly, Yemen’s local activities are very interesting as well. From their religion to their daily lives they are intriguing. For example, they are not a modern culture. These people have little to no electricity and live in …show more content…

They are a very simple culture, not as rushed as a business man in New York City. They sleep on mats in their mud houses and herd their goats in the early morning. About ninety percent of the population is Muslim. They practice their religion regularly and very closely. Since their religion includes several strict laws, they live in a very old society and setting. There is nothing modern about anything they do. Women may not leave their house without their husband or unless they are completely covered. They also do several activities outside of fishing and their goats. For example, they play soccer with their children. Also, women don’t have very many rights at all. They are the cooks and errand runners of the house hold.
