We make choices every day, from waking to sleeping our day is composed of choices and the results of these choices. These choices help to shape us to who we are and want to be. But, these results may not be foreseen and may be adverse or favorable depending on the situation. Topics and events in our history ranging from the literacy of common man to unnecessary gun violence were a result of un-foreseen consequences. Our world’s history has been shaped by these consequences forming the world to where we are today.

1776 was the year when the USA was created, built on a charter of freedom. Resulting from their history, Americans believe that they can have such freedom because of laws and charters. They believe they are allowed to protect themselves and use weapons accordingly, as they have the right to ‘bear arms’. Extreme amounts of un-necessary violence has occurred resulting from this right. Some people who have possession of a firearm may use it not in defense but rather to kill and harm resulting in the USA having more than five times the amount of homicides by gun per capita then Canada. There seems to be unnecessary shootings in the US because of such a law which can be manipulated and used in a bad manner. The first printing press was created to make books (Mostly bibles in the day) cheaper and more accessible. At this time only nobles and scribes new how to read and write. In result of this press, written pieces became commonplace making the common people needing to know how to read and write. This literacy spread and spread as the printing press became more common and caused the majority of the world’s people to be as literate as it is today which helped to revolutionize the work
