‘Oh gosh!’ I thought on the third day of school, I was totally exhausted of homework. Well to most of the people, this a major deja vu, that attended middle school. So from that day and onward I ‘started’ to do all my homework, whether I wanted to do it or not.. There are a couple of important logical explanations why homework is an important part of all ‘middle schoolers’ lives.The concept of homework is that is is supposed to help you have a better understanding of what you learned at school and keep the content (that you learned in school) fresh in your mind. The other important thing about homework is that it directly reflects on your grade; which is important for success in school.
First foremost reason (for me) , is that homework counts as a grade. Grades are extremely important in school. Grades are important is that is helps you go to college. And going to college helps you be successful in life and get a good job and so on. Other reason, is that it makes the teacher think better of you, like she\he says “so and so does homework”, which can help you go into better ranking classes in high school or in middle school.

Also it helps kids have a better understanding of what they did at school that day. Recent studies, show that kids that do homework have a better understanding of what they did at school. Which can lower the work that teachers do everyday.
In conclusion, there are a couple of important\influential reasons why I chose to do my homework everyday. Some people would argue that homework should not stay in schools because it decreases the amount of family time. They say that when a child is doing homework, it decreases family time because that child is not involved in the family but the homework (“Teachers…”). This theory has been proven wrong; in fact homework actually increases family time. Family time increases by the encounter the parents and children have while doing homework. It brings them together by how the children ask for help on their homework (5). The child will ask their parent or siblings to help them, and that will spark the family time. The parents will try to help and will not stop till their child understand how to do it. While helping with their child’s homework the parents can ask how their day went, and how that certain class was. Engaging in conversation always increases family time. Not only will they get to talk to their children, the parents will be informed of their child’s studies and how good or bad they are doing in school. Which proves that homework increases family time.
This will help them get work done earlier, so they will have more time to relax. If everything is done, the student’s parents will not worry that their child is staying up late completing homework. Creating a homework schedule is also a good way to help students finish homework on time. In addition, students will be able to go to sleep earlier and be awake the next day and focus better. If a student has two to three hours of homework each night and does not start it right when he or she gets home, he or she would have to stay up later and that would cause other family members to get frustrated.
Teachers will provide homework assistance to promote independence, confidence, and increase in grades. Every day the children will have study hall. Study hall will consist of quiet time for homework. Children who do not have homework will have the oppurtunity to study or read. This is important because it teaches children proper study skills.
Healthline.com has said that “Students in high achieving neighborhoods who spend too much time on homework have more health problems, stress, and alienation from society.” Being sick of school is one thing, but when school is making you sick because of the homework you have now is bad. Elementary kids having physical problems just from homework can eventually lead to other possible problems down the road. These problems include substance abuse, becoming a high school dropout, and possibly death by suicide. So why risk a student’s life for a few homework
I think that students shouldn’t have homework. Students shouldn’t have homework because it puts too much stress on them. They are also already in school for seven hours a day. Lastly they don’t get the opportunity to have as much physical activity as they should.
Generally the motivating factor to do schoolwork is to get a good grade in a class, so kids do their homework.
Homework is for suckers. Homework causes stress for students as well as for parents. The only thought that raced through your mind was “I should have done my homework.” The homework given to students is helpful and effective for learning and developing knowledge, which aids the students to score better on tests.
