Objective/ Procedures/ Evaluation 1 The first objective of The Hangout is the increase the hours parents are able to work. When parents enroll their children at The Hangout, they will be able to work more hours at their job. As soon as school dismisses, The Hangout makes sure your children makes it to the program safely. This program stays in session from the time school dismisses until 6 PM every day of the school week. This adds up to almost 20 hours a week extra that parents are able to work now because of The Hangout. Giving parents the oppurtunity to work more is important because it is allowing parents to make more money. The questionnaires will be anonymous. The questions will minly be about demographics and job information. The parents will first do the questionnaire while enrolling their child. The first questionnaire will include the questions about their jobs now. Questions will inquire about hours they are working, how much they enjoy working, and if they wish they could work more. The next time they fill out another questionnaire will be after the first semster of the school year. It will include the same questions so we can measure the difference. Teachers will provide homework assistance to promote independence, confidence, and increase in grades. Every day the children will have study hall. Study hall will consist of quiet time for homework. Children who do not have homework will have the oppurtunity to study or read. This is important because it teaches children proper study skills. Homework time is also important because it is one less thing for parents to worry about when they make it home in the evenings. When we receive good reports, we will reward the children with a prize. By rewarding them, we will encourage them to keep up with their homework and continue
