When you become a legal authority, you uphold great responsibility. People around the world learn to trust the authorities or at least just abide by the laws that they enforce. Authorities are instructed certain orders, and it is up to that police officer to follow those guidelines; You can’t say all cops are bad, as well as you can’t say all cops are good. Police officers tend to abuse their authority, when in quick sudden situations, they gravitate to using brutal force; brutal force is never okay.

When you think of the word ‘Authority’ you probably think of, the power to determine, or settle issues or disputes; jurisdiction or even commands. The common word brings the image, of police officers to your head. Although their job is to truly serve our sovereign country and state, as a police officer without favor or affection, until they are legally discharged; and that they will …show more content…

This is not saying that all police officers are bad at all. There are just some points where people need to realize some authorities abuse their power immensely. It doesn’t even have to be a big crime, like robbing a bank or anything like that. However it can be more like, Speeding or breaking traffic laws or setting off illegal fireworks or maybe some types of small drugs that are not legal to obtain or to use themselves. In some cases it may be more extreme than others, but it is for law to judge not people. Officers usually claim that those things are in their jurisdiction as a cop, but no cop has more rights than another citizen, other than the authority to arrest people. When a cop abuses his or her authority they are, putting their job at risk, and the risk is only high if they get caught, which they never do.
