As teenagers grow up we are asked many questions, but there is one in particular that I will be answering. What do I want to be when I grow up? I don’t want to be a firefighter, nor a teacher, and I would prefer not to be a doctor. These are some of the thoughts that went through my head when I was younger. However, I have thought about what I would like to do and I have done some research and I think I would like to be an Athletic Trainer. An Athletic Trainer is someone who evaluates athletes, cares for the injuries, keeps records of the athlete, plans athletic injury prevention programs, and also collaborates with other physicians. They also may travel with sports teams. Overall, an Athletic Trainer is a Physical Therapist for athletes. …show more content…

First, while doing this job I will have to be physically fit. This means I will have to use strength and conditioning abilities to help others. Another interesting fact about becoming an Athletic Trainer is that I have to make difficult decisions on my own. This is not so much interesting , but is rather knowledgeable. I will have to work on my own and have little supervision. No one is going to be holding my hand every day so I will have to be a mature worker and do the job on my own. The last fact that I learned about Athletic Trainers is about mathematics and science. These subjects are quite necessary, but it is also as important when becoming an Athletic Trainer. Though these are not my strong points, I will have to improve in theses to departments so I can become a helpful hand to many athletes.
