What Makes Mrs Hackett A Good Leader

Leadership is not about the power you have, but rather the people you inspire. A good leader uses their influence to improve and enhance a group. However, “good” is not fair description of the type of leader Mrs. Hackett is. She is exceptional, stupendous, and marvelous director, teacher, and friend. Mrs. Hackett shows that a true leader is hard working, strong, and selfless. In the three years I have known her, Mrs. Hackett has, without fail, always been doing something. Whether it is getting the rights for a show, creating a lesson plan, for hosting a school event, she is always busy. It is this incredible work ethic that makes her the wonderful leader she is. It is awe-inspiring to see someone work for eight hours a day then come back to school for a three hour long rehearsal, only to go home and grade papers. Regardless of the amount of blood sweat and tears Mrs. Hackett puts into one of her project, she constantly has a smile on her face. To her, none of this is truly work because of the passion she has for what she does. …show more content…

As a director, it is Mrs. Hackett’s responsibility to make all of our performances perfect and every night after practice we receive notes about all of our wrongdoings. Even though Mrs. Hackett gives us these notes to make our performance exceptional, it is not uncommon for a cast member to take the criticism personally. This often leads to many unkind words being said about Mrs. Hackett. Although this happens on a regular basis, Mrs. Hackett has never once lost her temper. She has the maturity not to succumb to the negativity, but rather rise above
