On the list of things you must accomplish to truly be happy in this world finding the one person that you see as a potential soul mate is usually the most important. Due to lack of support or teaching from older family members there are individuals who simply can not treat their significant other properly. When a man truly loves a woman he seeks to be better than any competition he may have in the eyes of his possible relationship partner. The amount of effort a man can put into this task is extraordinary. After given the blessing of being able to call a woman “his” there are men who do not put that same effort into the relationship. This is the first step to treating your woman unfairly. Never should a woman settle for being treated less …show more content…
Men should not give their lady any reason or form of evidence that will cause her to believe that she is not the only person that her man has on his mind. A man should prove this to his significant other on a daily basis to ensure the security of the relationship. There is not a more deadly act than a man cheating on his woman even in the simplest form, such as talking, texting or going out of his way to see another woman. The effect this action has on a relationship and the woman herself is toxic. It can completely tear a person apart a rip away their self-esteem. Cheating in a relationship will change a woman forever, the damage can not be undone and it will make the woman feel worthless. This should be one of the many things that should never be done to a woman that is truly …show more content…
If a man is unable to keep his woman deeply in love with him a woman, not in every case, will be tempted to cheat in this situation. A woman needs to feel like she is loved and a man needs to be the one to prove this in a relationship. A man seeks a woman because she is beautiful and stands out in the crowd of women. If a man is truly in love he needs to be able to prove to his woman that she is superior to the many women on this world. If a woman does not feel beautiful it can lead to issues later in the relationship. A man should never allow the outside world to taint the perfect image that a woman creates of herself. Men should never allow their women to to destroy their self-image by comparing themselves to all of the “perfect” people out there. A man is surely succeeding when he is able to improve a woman’s self-esteem and is able to demonstrate how much she truly means to
This situation goes for not only women but men as well. From an early age, both boys and girls should be taught humanity, in terms of how both men and women should be treated. Unfortunately, this rarely occurs and generations of boys and girls grow up thinking that this is the way of the world. Therefore, the vicious cycle of unfair practices is still going on to this day with little to no advancements.
While these topics are dealt with more extensively in other books he has written tough love is still critical in these areas which also may affect a marriage relationship. He does include sixteen guidelines that he feels dating couples should follow; he remarks that if these guidelines are followed the basis of a healthy marriage will be well underway. One that was especially pertinent was number “12. Be careful to defend the “line of respect,” even during a dating relationship.” Not only does respect matter in marriage relationships it matters in almost every other relationship in a person’s life. The person who has a healthy self-respect that comes from the knowledge they are one of God’s children will in turn be respected by the people around
“For every clever person who goes to the trouble of creating an incentive scheme, there is an army of people, clever and otherwise, who will inevitably spend even more time trying to beat it. Cheating may or may not be human nature, but it is certainly a prominent feature in just about every human endeavor. Cheating is a primordial economic act: getting more or less” (21). This quote is important because it proves how everyone has cheated once. In many cases it is true, people often cheat on tests or even on their diet. Not everyone can live up to their expectations. Some may justify it, others proudly proclaim it, and others will try denying their cheating vigorously. Most people consider cheating as a bad and unwise action. In this novel, it gave two examples of cheaters, school teachers and sumo wrestlers. It shows how both authors can take two different people and still find something similar with both of them, like cheating.
It's very sad to think that a woman and a man could have ever thought this way. However, it's even sadder to think that some still do. Women everywhere suffer abuse, mental or otherwise, at the hands or their (pri)mates every day. They must find the strength in themselves and the confidence to know that THEY are the ones who determine their own fate…and to realize that no one has the right to put them down. Our foremothers worked hard to make sure that we had choices-- not obligations. And when we let someone else take those choices from us, they are really taking our freedom, and our life.
It’s a lot of responsibility. The best way to enter a marriage is by loving and respecting the future partner. Infidelity, either physical or emotional, is an indication of a disconnected marriage. According to an article by Susan K. Whitbourne in Psychology Today, the reasons that lead to infidelity are diverse; among them we can find lack of sexual satisfaction, lack of emotional satisfaction, or wanting emotional validation from someone else. All the exposed above could explain the situation of our protagonist, Ethan Frome. Setting aside the fact that he married Zeena for the wrong reasons, they did not share any interests or desires at all; this is why Ethan feels attracted to Mattie. “She had an eye to see and an ear to hear: he could show her things and tell her things, and taste the bliss of feeling that all he imparted left long reverberations and echoes he could wake at will.” (Wharton 29) In their special night, Ethan feels “…suffocated with a sense of well-being...” (Wharton 72) thanks to Mattie. Susan K. Whitbourne argues that “…seeking emotional intimacy can be nearly as compelling a reason to have an affair as can seeking physical intimacy… being appreciated is a key factor in the emotional connection that partners feel toward each
How do people behave when they face a number of chances to cheat with little or no risk of exposure? In this summary I will present the results of 4 studies made to determine whether or not people take advance of opportunities to cheat. This experiment is important to companies and institutions to know more about their employees and/or students’ behaviors when exposed to situations when they can or have a chance to cheat, if most institutions understand the behavior related to cheating and opportunities to so do, they can be more prepared to avoid this type of situations, and eventually to catch them.
This happens when one the partner’s feels that they need to make themselves more appealing so as to attract or to be attractive enough to their desired mates. When one falls into this trap you are afraid that no one will accept you as you are and insecurity gets in the relationship. Insecurity can lead to doubts in a
First of all trust is one of the biggest factors when it comes to being in a relationship. It there is no trust it could all easily fall apart. This is why so many women loose their husbands trust when they first discover that they have been cheating on them with pornography magazines, books, and more often internet sites. Pamela Paul states that “most men do not admit to engaging in pornography but try to hide it from their spouse in order to keep it a secret. When their spouses end up finding out about it, all trust has been lost in the relationship and this is when it usually ends” (100). Most women become devastated when they find out that their husbands have a “second life”. They really feel that they have been cheated on and have lost that special connection between their significant other and them. When women find out about this it usually leads to short term separation which in the end leads to divorce and their relationship simply becomes another statistics of how many relationships pornography has ruined. Most relationships rely on trust and when that trust bond is broken it is very hard to get it back.
Above all, to have a successful marriage, the couple must love unconditionally. Love covers a multitude of mistakes and wrong doings. No one is perfect, so don’t expect your spouse to be. Spouses should show their partner the type of love they would like to receive.
Men tend to be more jealous of physical infidelity and women more jealous of emotional fidelity. In evolutionary terms this is caused by a man's need to be sure he is the father of the female's offspring, and a female's need to be sure that her dietary needs will be met during and after pregnancy (Harris 7). Due to these differences, jealousy needs to be addressed differently in each case. Since jealousy can be a major source of conflict in any partnership and "is destructive in even its smallest form…and can interfere with and destr...
One truth we learn about human nature is that men often use women for there looks because thats the only thing that attracts them. As soon as the women lose their beauty, or if the beauty comes with to much baggage then the men back out leaving the women hurt.
How does this apply in today’s culture? When a woman is outwardly beautiful, she attracts a lot of suitors, many who only care about her appearance. They love her looks and do not care about her heart. Is this her fault? Absolutely not! She may be a beautiful godly woman, but the people she attracts will not always love her the right way. However, if a woman is plain in appearance (or even ugly), she will naturally attract less shallow suitors. These men are MUCH more likely to fall in love with her inward beauty, rather than her outward appearance. All of the conceited men instead follow after more attractive women, blinded by the lust of their
This article, “An Examination of Potential Attractions of Women’s Marital Infidelity,” was published in 2014 in The American Journal of Family Therapy. The purpose of the article is to examine the process of infidelity and the steps that women take in order to cheat on their spouses. The question regarding what defines infidelity is widely debated in today’s world, particularly with the growth and use of technology. Because marital infidelity is on the rise, this article serves to examine the reasons that it occurs in order to help solve the problem. Women were interviewed about the process of infidelity and reported that three factors largely influenced their behavior. These factors that contribute to cheating are the developing of an extramarital
According to the author, woman simply have an unrealistic expectation of perfection that eventually crumbles the very foundations of their relationship. This sounds very much like a stereotype, which means “To place a person or group of people into an inflexible, all-encompassing category.” (Beebe, Beebe, and Redmond, 2014, p.74). However, whether his theory about woman is true or just an overgeneralization, He does make an interesting point about expectations in relationships. I wondered if perhaps I’ve unrealistically expected perfection in friendships. I decided it couldn’t hurt to try to become more adaptable. After all, no one’s
