What Is Obama's Failure

As the 44th president of the United States Barack Obama had a multitude of successes such as economic stabilization and Obamacare, but he also had failures such as dealing with ISIS. First, early on in Obama’s presidency helped stabilize the economy passed on from the Bush administration. After Bush had finished his term the economy was in free fall so Obama’s campaign relied heavily on fixing this problem. Once Obama was sworn into office he took an approach similar to that of Franklin Roosevelt’s New Deal in which he chose to use government spending to fix the economy and keep it stable. Primarily, Trump’s background as a businessman called for economic prosper in the US. Obama had already help improve the economy after its 2008 crash, but he could only increase the GDP growth rate to around two percent off from the ideal three percent, but when Trump took over he raised the growth back up to three percent.(Merline 1) This was successful because Trump lived up to his expectations as a businessman to improve the economy even more than it was already improved. Also, Trump’s utilization of collective security on ISIS was a success. During Obama’s term he appeased ISIS, but during Trump’s campaign he vowed to change the situation with ISIS no matter the circumstances. Once in office, Trump began to bomb the area in order to stop ISIS from continuing their massacres in the Middle East and around the world. This was also successful for Trump because he used collective security in order to save lives and helped boost nationalism in America which it lacked before. Lastly, Trump’s refusal to accept “dreamers” is one failure of his current reign. President Trump is pushing to and has deported several undocumented immigrants who were brought to America illegally at a young age.(McHugh 1) This is unjust because, Trump cannot deny these people their right to live here when most of them have already been here for most of their lives and had no control over their breaking of the law.
