Cyber bullying has been linked to causing some life threatening damage amongst all ages of small and large communities and the different countries as well. A close look at cyber-bullying as a major internet problem affecting everyone with access to the internet in the many ways today. Before the internet bullying was in the playground and after school fights, its usually one or more victims, one or more bullies. This was a physical altercation, a fight with words or name calling. But now, after the invention of the internet, cyber bullying has become an electronic way of name calling, and fighting. Today, words can be transmitted through social media, messaging and websites electronically and instantly. Digi Parenting site mentioned that cyber bullying can give obscene messages, start nasty rumors, share private photos and videos and post these items online for the world to see. According to National Crime Prevention Council (NCPC) the way boys and girls cyber bully are very different to each other, for example boys tend to send sexual messages, fighting and threatening to hurt violent gestures in online texts. Meanwhile the girls like to spread untrue rumors and also make fun of someone whose clothes, makeup, or even who victims are dating. Stated by the Parents website children when of age start getting cyber bullied once the child gets their first cell phones when they are able to access social network websites. Harassing is also another cyber bullying term, if an adult gets involved by being the cyber bully, then it becomes cyber-harassment even cyberstalking. When the mature people have finally been apprehended for doing cyberstalking crime can lead to jail time or other legal penalties.
