PROFFESSIONAL COMMUNICATION, CULTURAL SENSITIVITY AMONG IMIGRANT WOMEN
Cultural sensitivity begins with recognition that there are differences between cultures. These differences are reflected in the ways that different groups communicate and relate to one another, and they carry over into interactions with health care providers. If health care providers and their patients are to interact effectively, they must move beyond both cultural sensitivity and cultural biases that create barriers. A culturally competent clinician views all patients as unique individuals and realizes that their experiences, beliefs, values, and language affect their perceptions of clinical service delivery, acceptance of a diagnosis, and compliance.

These significant risk factors also increase the vulnerability to mental health problems (Bhui et al., 2003; Mamisachvili et al., 2013; O’Mahony, Donelly, Bouchal, & Este, 2013). A study in Canada found that immigrant women are three to five times more likely to report high levels of depressive symptoms (Dougherty,et al, 2008). Research also shows that it is difficult for immigrant women to change and maintain health behaviors. The terms of the woman’s personal needs are often dictated by the family and community on the basis of cultural norms, while current health promotion models emphasize the role of the individual self-support. Health promotion activities for immigrant women are advised on social interaction, due to a permissive home environment regarding physical activities, can enhance self-efficacy and improve mental and physical health (Kirkcaldy, Shephard, & Siefen, 2002). When the caregivers see only the diagnosis instead of the whole person, the underlying causes of illness are often obscured, leading to increase in symptoms and greater dependency on health care (Larsson, 2009; SOU, 1996; Sword et al., 2006). Reassurance will be given Education to learn the language of the host country will be given. This will help the immigrant woman to have a voice to speak for self.

Conclusion
In conclusion Cultural sensitivity is important in communication and we see that it is achievable by planning to be cultural competent. The client can explain herself and an interpreter can be used. Health worker has to be very patient with the patient and avoid being prejudiced. In communication skills all the players have learned will empower them to work with this special group effectively. Those in the immigrant women who have chronic illness or disability, they will be communicated with dignity and with respect.
